@@Samurai9000 you may recall that upon her release, she rivaled Lfa in star expedition. She was so disruptive that DH had to rework some things. Ever since then, DGN has been something of an unsung damage dealer. You can see many videos (Wraec has some good ones) in flame shrine and broken spaces where she puts up wicked damage compared to the main dps hero being tested. I decided to use her as my star expedition hero given SSM’s poor performance there, and decided to take her for a spin in the void bosses! Turns out, she’s quite the little monster :)

@@AustinBirkett good question! Both possibilities are nice, just depends on what modes you wish to prioritize. I went with SSM + DGN because, while DGN is worse for star expedition, she is better than Lfa in most other areas as far as being a second damage dealer. If I wanted to pursue star expedition, I would go for LFA. It’s especially nice because SSM can be a tenant for him during SE week :D

@ I just want a more powerful team in general, so modes like realms gate would be a good example. Just really torn on the 2 options. I think I’m gonna follow ur path though with dgn, this video kinda supports it lol. Thx for the help!

@@umukzusgelos4834 haha yeah, after the 3rd consecutive one my immersion began to wane a bit. I’m glad they’re fixing his hitboxes though, since his sword thrust would often damage me even when I was standing behind him

@@umukzusgelos4834 You have good taste!! She is definitely my favorite fight now, and Benedicta was my favorite from the base game, rivaled only by maybe Eviterno!!

@@IdleZeroes I must confess I was never a huge Eviterno Fan. I hear people like him a lot but I find him honestly more stressful than rewarding to fight. In that manner he is very similar to Brother Asterión, without Sarmiento & Centella I just fail miserably at the fight

@ that’s understandable. I find that his combo finished sword arc to be very unintuitive, where it launches a shockwave on both sides of him. I just find a bit of a flow-state with him after a while

@@umukzusgelos4834 indeed! it feels very strange to have the health dots when it’s rare for any damage taken to only remove a single dot. I commonly lost 3-4 dots upon taking damage, although this may also be due to the penance that makes enemies for powerful.

As someone who's played Hollow knight, the only times you lose two masks of damage is against a very powerful attack from a rare enemy or a very powerful boss, specifically the DLC bosses and Final boss. Blasphemous 2' 's dot Penance makes you lose three pips against a regular lanturn dude.

@@aleex_maggot yeah, my recent vids definitely lack production value haha. I tend to only make thumbnails for my Idle Heroes content, as it’s my primary game and viewer base. You can see I was big into making thumbnails as the channel was starting out if you check out the catalogue :D Also, thanks for the tip about the bugged flask!

You have to kill all the enemies on that room for it to work.

@@vacancy959 yeah, I’m happy for the extra challenges NG+ allows for with the penitances, but I really would have appreciated if some things carried over. A better approach would have been what Elden Ring/Dark Souls do: maintain character progression but scale the enemies such that endgame stats are still challenged. Reduces tedium and maintains game difficulty

@@IdleZeroes EXACTLY! man im a fan of the blasphemous series but i have to admit that im not very liking the ng+ update this time. i got pretty excited when i got the mea culpa cuz its the penitent one’s weapon in the first game, all i want is that i can play thru the game in ng+ from the get go with it, and then i found that it won’t get carried over to ng+ and i gotta reclaim it again… i mean don’t get me wrong im open for all the challenges in ng+ but cmon man at least let me keep all my weapons and abilities…🥲i want a challenging ng+ but i don’t want an ng+ full of chores🥲

@ yep, I agree completely. I’m doing my all repentances run at the moment and having to walk by all the Mea Culpa thorn walls, despite having access to them with under 40% of the map explored still, makes my blood boil. I know I’ll have to backtrack to these locations again, which means traversing insta-kill thorns and pits- endless frustration

@@IdleZeroes oh yea! and those insta-death parkour sections lmaooo i’m actually quite impressed that they think bringing back insta-death parkours is a good idea xD like… i get that it’s by the player’s choice now this time but still… increasing difficulty in a game doesn’t HAVE TO be that way

@ Indeed, I would have much preferred a layout buff, making the parkour challenges more difficult so that precision is required, rather than making each mundane thorn wall or spike pit extremely annoying to die to. Especially before the first of the few hidden sisters are found and you can’t travel between Prie Dieus. I have found navigation to be quite the chore, and there is a particular challenge room in the choir of thorns that had me at the end of my rope with the insta-death pits, haha.

Exactly! First time I saw the gravestone room it immediately struck me that I should look for gravestones hidden in the new areas and stand next to them for 20 seconds.
