Exactly why classes/specs that got good defensives, offensives and utility through runes are performing well like shadow priests, shammans and balance druids. With that said, SoD damage is crazy compared to HP

Indeed some classes are way too strong and they get further buffed with blanket damage reduction. Shadow priests can still dot and laugh in your face in dispersion while you rot and die :D

that's one good thing about wow. You can choose between different expansions or game modes and play what you enjoy the most. With that said I'll stick with SoD for now

Retail pvp is one of the few good things about the game. There have been a few times when it sucks, but only because the gear differences in retail are unbeatable because of how ilvl works. As long as ilvl doesn't have a huge variance between low and high end, pvp inb retail is pretty great. Incidently, ilvl is one of the worst things about retail.

Retail PvP has a bunch of different problems. SoD looks like it is going in the right direction and its about blizzard hitting the right numbers

Hunter pets are strong. Hunters themselves are weak and defenseless with a massively exploitable dead zone.

Hunter pets are no longer strong in P3. Even as BM since BM rune was nerfed in total by 20% so it only gives 10% increased damage. It is only good in duels for the Bestial Wrath duration. In BGs I usually keep my pet in stealth and just have it attack some close target for Frenzy stacks like homunculi, shadowfiend or another hunter/warlock pet

Interesting. I would agree that 50% may be needed at 60, but it felt way too much for lvl 50 pvp IMO

its skillcap. the better you are the more you like the change. the worse you are the more exposed you are.

youre out of your mind if you think 50% is good, it completely destroys farming hks and if the other team or your team have more than 2 healers either side nobody is dying, i did an AB and everyone got 2-3 kills each

@@calmdown9094 it was actually the other way around, every skilled player hardly disagreed with this change, while the noobs were the ones who loved the change. Players like xaryu,ziqo, payo, perplexity even Skilled FCS like stormX ( the patch literally made them immortal) HARDLY disagreed with this change... There are tons of videos explaining and even showcasing why. Skilled players didn't and DONT mind fast pased-bursty metas cus they have the skill, the knowledge , the tools( engi, trinkets, potions) and the reflexes to react to even extreme situations that would be certain death to 90%+ of the playerbase. Noob players on the other hand, just take and tank shit to the face and then they cry cus they died. But the truth is that most of those "noob-deaths' could've been avoided if a skilled player had the wheel. This change was NOOB FRIENDLY, not SKILLD friendly. There is a ridiculus amount of videos explaining why. There even is a video with perplexity doing a perfect opener + combo on a druid that was out of form and 60% health, with a combustion mage pre-casting fireball and a full 10 sec stun combo follow up, and the druid was FINE. Tankiness is always a benefit for the noobs.

Dodge, block, parry, and armor are totally useless against spells. Mind Blast, Lava Burst, SW:D, Starsurge, Drain Life, DoTs, etc are all either very fast or instant cast, and many can 1-2 shot anybody. This is such a braindead take. 🙄

warriors do have it rough in SoD unfortunately. 25% dmg reduction should still help them, but honestly warrior problem is more class specific where blizzard failed them with runes that work in PvP

I love warriors, they are free coins in STV.

Warriors is just the one class that doesn't have.. anything to defend himself. Hunters can press feign death, palas can press bubble, priests can press dispersion, rogues can vanish-sprint-shadow step away, mages can blink.. everyone has something that takes off pressure from you. Warrior charges in, 10 people instantly target him, each person does 2 globals, 20 globals in total, and the warrior dies in literally 1-2 secs. When you see a warrior, u cast shit on him, u dot him, and u know that he is not gonna do anything about it.. he doesn't have dispells, bubbles, cleanse totems, heals, dmg reductions... nothing.. he wont pull some WIERD annoying shit.. he will just take it. so u just ramp up dmg... Warrior needs tools like spell reflect and 5min shield wall in order to pvp properly. Maybe even bladestorm ( but that might be TOO MUCH, i will stick to the other 2 for now).

Warriors have it really rough, but they still have it better than Ferals.

Level 50 is the current end game so they need to balance it immediately and than again at 60. Leaving game broken for 2 months can only make them lose players who may not even come back for endgame. Imagine if they did not do balancing in P1 or P2 or now in P3 just because its "leveling phase", that would be 6 months of complete shit show :D

@@Arwoht casuals have been playing wow classic for decades bro. And even a casual player could have been lvl 60 by now as long as these phases are taking.

In case I run into horde while going to Uldaman :D but you dont need it for farming, so you can put it anywhere you'd like

when you see casters casting you need to line of sight on the side they are casting so melee gets grouped with them. For example, if you have geomancer casting on bottom side, you line of sight on the bottom and vice versa. This will pull rest of the group to the side of caster and you wont get hit

When you are on the ground but too much to the left (close to the wall) this is the spot where your camera gets zoomed in. This can be avoided if you drop more to the right OR if you always angle your camera a bit to the left. This will also increase your field of view on the right so you can keep track of the mobs easier. Hope this helps!

I have the same issue, when I do the strafe to the left when either climbing up or just los'ing the fire it zooms into the back of my character and it's harder to see the mob stacking.

This is only true in retail. In SOD you get the bonus even if pet dies

not sure tbh, I just enjoy doing this farm. I would say it really depends what greens you get. Its probably one of the best if not the best farm hunters can do atm and hope for blue drop like pendulum :D

thanks a lot! I've seen arguments for both, but people are mostly saying 2.0 is still better. I personally haven't seen any difference tbh so I just roll with 1.2 as personal preference, since I find it useful in other types of content. P2 hits in 2 weeks and I believe faster attack speed cats will be better and since everyone will go for brokentooth and his 1.0 attack speed he will be hard to get so next best thing would be 1.2. This is only my speculation as we don't know what additional runes we are getting, or if there will be any additional changes to the pets.

beause of the expensive game services (where a single character boost was 60$) many people didnt experience the lastest content and raids. it was also very hard to theory craft oo. unabalnced servers are even bigegr issue@@Kilmar4999

I am just happy that in SOD we have these level caps of 25, 40, 50, 60. You don't have to rush to 60 or fall behind, you can level an alt or two (which I did not do but I know many did) and still hit the current level cap and have it ready for next phase. There is so much world PvP in these low level zones and I enjoyed it every time like in this Defense of Redrige :D Is it perfect - no, are some things busted and op - yes, but SOD is a blast for me right now and I hope it stays like that in P2 :)

Hey! That is great to hear! You can think about hunter pets as their own class. You don't want to have shield equipped if you are DPS warrior and same apply to Hunter, especially BM hunter as most damage comes from your pet. If you have time I would recommend leveling Cat. You can still keep Boar as we have two additional stable slots, so when you are not raiding you can pull out your Boar and do dungeons/solo content. I also have one that I use sometimes and that is another thing I enjoy about hunters, having options of different pets that are good for specific situations =) Thank you for your comment and good luck on your adventure! If nothing changes it looks like BrokenTooth will be the best pet again. Since he will be very hard to get, than some other 1.2 attack speed cat. Wind Serpents get Rank 4 Lightning Breath at level 41 unfortunately, so I think they will be pretty bad in p2. I am still looking forward to test scorpids as they get rank 3 poison at 40, but it doesnt sound promising tbh

With kill command it would be Cat. But if I was looking for burst I would use wind serpent and skip kill command. Wind Serpent has highest burst damage with instant lightning breath from 20 yards range

Correct! While it wont help with ranged burst, it can do surprisingly high damage once in melee range

yes, unfortunately they do not come with bite/claw so you have to teach them rank 4 of each. I think I got Bite rank 4 from Black Ravager in duskwood and Claw rank 4 from Elder Ashenvale Bear in Ashenvale

You can also get rank 4 bite from the lvl 25 crocs in wetlands thats how i got it for my cat
