This is ABSOLUTELY shocking! I need to let you know how truly remarkable your voice is! Those high notes that you are able to project are JAW DROPPING! CAN ANYONE EVEN COMPREHEND WHAT YOU'RE DOING?? Your voice is truly is rare and beautifully projected and I'm so glad you brought yourself to record this piece and please please keep doing what your doing. You're incredible and your performance as a baritone/tenor is astounding and brilliant.

I’ve always thought Barber’s Adagio / Agnes Dei was the most beautiful, haunting, sorrowful, and profound piece of music ever written. So much longing and loss in the music, the tension and release of chord modulations always brings tears to my eyes. This is probably the most masterful rendition I have heard yet, such incredible range and clarity in each note. Well done.

Matthew, if you are out there, I am a person who sees a color-shape for each note and I began to get very good at video-making as I stated to document my sonic experiences. This led me to start making music videos of both sacred and secular music. About two years I did a music video edit of your performance here. It became my the first viral video here at _The Acoustic Rabbit Hole_ channel. And it is still the video I am most found of. I was afraid to show you the video because I was afraid you'd ask me to take it down since I made it without permission. I hope you will take a look a it now. And, in the words of ABBA themselves, "Thank You For the Music." kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIG7i5qKbt6BmKM

I guess this is the best example of “to make a painting with music”. It’s all audio but I can clearly see the bird flying on top of a clear lake on a hill under a clear sky, along with the breeze flowing through the pine trees and a hint of the sweet scent of the flowers on the hills.

Hi, Matthew! I’m such a big fan of your project and choral tracks. Do you think you could post rehearsal tracks for each part on KZbin for the Darmon Meader arrangement of Sing Sing Sing? I’m currently learning it and I’m having some trouble, so having them I think would be really helpful and beneficial. Plus, it could help others who might come across the piece at another point too! Thanks for doing what you’re doing for us singers. 😊😊😊

Being totally honest. Not since I first heard this ending at Diana’s funeral… have I finally found the incredible blending of voices to give proper sonics to this crescendo ending of Song for Athene. How the bass and soprano hold that final note during the final lyrics of the song. THAT along with the high tenor and soprano punching through “prepare for you”…. Wow. I wish there was a choir rendition that came as close to your balanced voices. The choir at Diana’s funeral nailed it. And so have you, sir. Fantastic job.

Dear Matthew Curtis, thank you, I wish you well and would just say, over the years I have come here and listened many, many times, you have the voice of an angel, while not deeply religious, I have found so much peace and pleasure listening, what a gift, thanks.

Few things are beautiful in these current times we're living in. So I had to come back to something I enjoyed 10 years ago, to remember a beautiful thing that existed, written in the enlightened days of old and performed back when enlightenment wasn't AI-sourced. Those were the days. Thanks for the memory.
