I usually pack the boxes first, and then, I pack the furniture in the middle and the mattresses towards the front

I’ve been moving for years unless you’re paying a good rate. I’m using a dolly for every last damn thing you have or a four wheeler. Recall the empty 6os❤ worst boxes ever use base to carry boxes my friend

Not bad. I load all my wide tiers first, all my stick, then it’s a box party after that. I hope you got a ladder 🪜 now. Try get the aluminum one. Those wooden ladders are a splinter risk and if they fall they break. This is not for everyone. I respect anyone who wakes up in the morning and decides that they want to move furniture. I will keep watching to the end. Thank you for the great video. Happy Travels

I own a corporate moving company. I started in 1985. I have 3 generations of movers in my family. A hump strap works great with steps. The trick is not to put all the heavy boxes on one trip. You have to use common sense and use the right combination of heavy snd not so heavy ctns. This video with empty capped 3.0 ctns is funny. But honestly, I can tell you a hump strap does make the job easier and faster.

I have 14 years experience and that's a good loader but how many times he has to pad the furniture on the truck isn't right. Pro tip use more bands instead of tape it's quicker on the unload and saves money.

Curious why you go length ways? I've been doing it for a long while and notice many go length ways... I fold the length in half so I'm not dragging it on the floor as much and picking up dirt and can give it a quick fluff while folding, to knock off excess dust. My pads end up slightly wider this way but also don't stick out as far and I personally find they strap to the wall easier as they arent as extended outwards and instead I can go taller while using the wall as backbone and end up with more room. My pads have lines and they run up and down from top to bottom and looks pretty slick, imo.

No. As a single mother looking for tips this was no help at all... As a former part time professional mover "helper" (I tagged along on jobs for about 5 weeks with a friend.. but I got legit check stubs from him boss) I would never have done this. As a customer I would trip out and ask you if ur auditioning for a competition or just get pissed. And further more, speaking from multiple sides of the situation, it's always noticeably weird when you overcomplicate a task when you can do it more sensibly or safer. What I mean is by the time you stacked and then strapped all them empty boxes to your back with the help of your buddy, you both could have grabbed two boxes and in a reasonably swift pace carried them inside. Trust me most houses are multi-level and the most likely want stuff carried into the basement and sometimes it's an obstacle course even getting up to the door depending on the entrance or driveway set-up. You can't always just pull up to the back door wth a moving truck. Hell, once I had to make a bunch of trips down a stone path then to sand to a basement door that was beach facing. I know your video doesn't apply to every situation it was just so bizarre that I went there too lol. To be honest I have not seen any videos where I've been told to use a Dolly and it's actually a good idea because I could carry two pretty heavy boxes instead of struggling with one. And my brother was a mover and he learned some tricks about using straps to put underneath the corners of a bed or something to get it waist-height. That's the tip that got me searching KZbin but no luck. There's a lot of videos from like decor or housewife types and some from movers all the same. Then there's this video . But there's a ton of actual on-the-job tricks or methods that you could share that would separate you from the rest of the videos or channels... For a good reason tho. Okay I'm done now sorry ...I was just triggered from the moment he said empty box lol

That’s called being efficient Thank you!! Wish this video could be shared more around because a lot of people like to carry stuff and technically waste “production” by not using this idea, just imagine how much more could be done with this compared to carrying it on a 2 wheeler 🤷🏻‍♂️

What are the economics behind the moving blankets/tape/straps if it is a load only? Is the material cost included in the estimate? Or do yall charge a per blanket fee? Yall buy bulk?

I cannot believe these positive comments. This company is atrocious. Bringing unwrapped items onto the truck, THEN wrapping them. NO. One guy dragged an unwrapped wood item before placing it on blankets. NO. One guy is constantly redoing the load of the other guy. NO. Boxes mixed together with furniture of odd shapes. NO. I could go on and on but you get the point. So many errors, so much time wasted. If i'm the customer, i'm calling out this company for not wrapping my items before they leave the residence, and for wasting time playing unnecessary tetris. I have owned my own moving companies for YEARS. I just did a job down to Texas with a 26-footer and a 15-footer. Both were packed to the gills. I even had boxes inside furniture. Every cubic inch was used. I put flat top furniture in first, then stack boxes to the ceiling. This eliminates crushing of boxes. I keep doing it until no more flat top furniture. Then I keep going with bins and boxes but place thin flat packed stuff behind boxes or at the top where there is space between the top box and the ceiling. I leave space at the top of items for small, light stuff. I pack every little available space with the small stuff. I never, ever put a fridge all the way into a truck. Fridge goes last. I measure so I dont use that space. usually 36 x 36. I use mattresses and box springs right in front of grandma's attics to lock in those items so they can never come out. Usually the mattress and box spring are on top of a single layer of heavy boxes or bins so they go to the ceiling -- no space wasted. Using my method, it goes faster and I have to play minimal tetris. I also wrap EVERY item BEFORE it goes on the truck. Bringing items out of a residence unwrapped is unprofessional and dangerous. You risk damage to the items and to the walls and entry ways. NO. WRAP BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE ITEM. Only boxes, bags, bins and suitcases go out unwrapped obviously. OMFG, seriously, this video is how NOT to do it. Protect items first, then load in the way I described and you can save a lot of time and effort. Been doing it 17 years. Never once did I fail to fit every item -- local or long distance. Many customers thought I was some sort of magician or miracle worker. I once fit 1000 cu feet of stuff on a 16-footer. Yeah, ask me how. I work miracles. This video gets a C-. Do better.

Easy to do with empty boxes!!!! And let's not forget the blood flow cutoff to his arms and chest. Plus, that fact of not being able to breathe right. The time u wasted to set up and slowly get to the door that he can't fit thru, I'm on my 3rd trip.😂😅
