How big are your pots?
@clasheen6 күн бұрын
Hi Barbara, the pot that I print in all depends on the size of the projects that I am working on. For a selection of small pieces such as several silk scarves, I usually use domestic pots of between 20 and 40 litres. For longer sessions when I am printing much larger pieces, my biggest pot is 250 litres!

I am just getting into wet felting to hopefully make a hat or some slippers! Perhaps a nice scarf! I also just began eco dying, and i started with advocado pits which worked well on cotton. Its so interesting that these non natural clothes like polyester or rayon you also cannot dye them, naturally.[as far as i know, it didnt work for me] It has made me appreciate real fibers. I cant wait to eco print with leaves!

Best to iron wool with a light tea towel or cheescloth. Also, does one wash printed fabrics with olive or natural soap later when caring for the pieces dyed? I did some dying with family and friends over December holidays and came up a lot. Please advise, thanks. 😊

Truly enjoyed this video. So informative and inspiring. I have never tried felting but your video was so full of information that I now would like to try my hand at this art form. Thank you.

Just a comment about WOOL from a VERY WARM state in the US…we just don’t USE/OWN/RELATE to it. Yes, it could make a table runner and not a wearable, but it’s just not part of our worlds. Thankfully silks, yes. Cotton, yes. Linens, yes! I just wanted to speak to the differences in our worlds! I’m enjoying your videos very much. 🌻Laura

bu projede lifleri tek yönlü çalıştınız... 90 derecelk yerleştirme yapmadınız... oysa diğer bir videonuzda 90 derecelik yerleştirmenin önemini anlatmıştınız... ve evet öğretmenim oldunuz.... çok şansalıyım ❤

This is the one part I struggle with the most. I use large pieces of fabrics and usually work alone.
@clasheenАй бұрын
Have you tried working on the ground Rebecca? How heavy are your pieces of fabric, as opposed to how large?
@karima62powell1Ай бұрын
No i havent tried on the ground as it isn't suitable. The heaviest pieces would be linen, and the largest a single cotton sheet.@@clasheen

Hi, Nicola---I have watched so many demonstrations of this process, but I learned more from yours than from all the others--thanks so much! I do have a question: what kind of soap are you using in the block soap? Thanks again.
@clasheenАй бұрын
Hi Viki, I'm glad that you found the video helpful! The soap that I used is a block of Marseille olive oil soap (from health food store, TJ Max etc) but you can use any gentle, natural soap. Something that is hand made works very well and preferably with no artificial colours or inclusions. The important thing is that it's gentle. Dr. Bonner's bars are also handy, if you live in the USA.
