When I was looking for a controller the novation wasn’t it compatible with the deluge so I went with this one, but booth do the same work. Generally I control the functions on other synths with the deluge thru cc using the gold knobs for filter, resonance, volume and so on.

@@MicroAnalogic Gold knobs are good but still not enough to control Blofeld. How do you assign specific functions from Deluge to knobs/faders in MIDIMIX controller? I have never controlled any parameters in Deluge using external controller (except of course keyboard). If you want to assign for example Cutoff on a Kit track to specific knob on controller what you have to do? Do you use Learn button in some specific way?

@@SmallWorldBigThings thanks a lot for your comment. It’s the akai midimix, when I bought it the novation wasn’t in the list of the available controllers for the deluge. It works great, I use it mostly for controlling drums volume, reverb, delay, filter and whatever you want. It’s really easy to learn what comands you need from the deluge and it’s connected direct to the dely ;)

Thanks a lot for your comment. I had to decide some years ago in which direction I should go: electron, akai or deluge. I went with the deluge and I’m quite happy with it. I manage to solve the lack of interface: knobs and sliders with the midi controller where o can set individual volume levels, delay, reverbs and whatever I want to control. The deluge is quite versatile, I usually use 2 or 3 tracks for drums and other 2 or 3 for pads, bass, arpeggios and acid sounds. I really like the easy way to work with it. All the best ;)

I realized my lack of perception on the low frequency’s after I started playing with my machines, I had to always push the volume up on the left side and was always trying to find the cable that was with issues until i realized that the lack of perception was due to my bad ear. Fortunately my right ear works better and I try to set volumes and levels with it. What matters the most is that you have fun with what you do ;)

I noticed that probably had issues with irig and it seem that the sound and video were recorded directed with the mic of the iPhone
