NGL this video is just a reminder to me on how much I give a shit about me and my crew's live show, especially as an independent artist in a playing field where quality is all over the damn place and there's so much noise we have to be able to brake through to find an audience, I cannot aford to have a wack ass show, be it from the performance end or sound end. Hip-Hop ticket sales are down for a reason and its b/c many of the newer more contemporary artists lost the art of the live show.

One of the toughest things about getting older is how much more often we experience the death of others. I'll be in the "50 Club" soon, and even tho I recognize it as a blessing, I'm not looking forward to that aspect of it at all. Rest in peace, Scoop.

I’m from England and I got into hip hop when I was 10 that would be 89 and I don’t know why it spoke to me at that age in the far north of England???and I still don’t know why I love it today as a middle aged man but I don’t think I will ever stop loving hip hop music and hip hop djing !!!! Vinyl only for listening and djing for my personal preference!!! But I am impressed with what the new guys are doing with digital stuff more like a live remix !!!

How come eclipse ain’t down with the executioners any more ???? This is a quality turntablism performance but I have been supporting you for a long time ! Got your lp on stones throw ! Got the solo lp you did on asphodel and the executioners first lp !!! I have the collaboration album you guys did with Mike Patton but only on cd ! I wish it got a vinyl release though !!!! Respect from north east England !!!!

Why doesn't eclipse chill with the executioners any more ! He had crazy patterns on the juggles and speed to boot !!! Anyone who hasn’t checked it out check out there first album expressions when they were a 4 pice ! Got it on vinyl and it still sounds great to this day !!!! Rip scoop rip roc raider !!!!!

DJing is all about 2 separate sound sources whether it be a turn tables or a cassette deck or an mp3 player of some sort including digital controllers its how those sound sources are used and the skills required to mix them through a mixer I have been DJing since 1978 and had to incorporate digital with analogue and could master transitions between both technologies and gradually digital did take over but the practices are still the same as they always have been

This guy is a tough teacher it can be intimidating and it is but if u can get pass ur feelings getting a little hurt or being a little uncomfortable teachers like this will get u far quick no pain no game type of thing the take away from this for me was so clear “ppl that teach this art form tell their students to start on the 1 but not all songs start on the 1” also how dj’s wait to get to the 1 its getting clearer to me what’s going on now
