@@christiancrandall6811 seems like the majority of users like the 2500c over the 1500c. I prefer the 1500c , I think you can cast a slightly lighter bait

Great video, I’m an Abu 1500c collector. I have a Red, Burgundy,Orange,Blue,Gold ,Chrome with gold emblem and the standard anodised 1500c IAR. All new in box. I also have a 1500c IAR that I fish with. Watching your video got me excited about these reels again 👍

Nearly all of the smallest lures I have are over 2.5 grams. There is a huge selection of ultralight lures on the market that are normally fished with UL spinning gear, and I can’t really find any that are under 2 grams. I guess if you fish with live bait or tiny jigs, you might find some.

Stocked trout bite at anything, ... How is that finessing, .. Just sayin, .... I'm not messing with you, .. It just seems funny, the words, stocked trout & BFS... I do the same thing as well at our local Alpine Lakes ,… we have stocked trout and bass in these lakes that are watersheds, .. Very clean water! Most times we hook trout and the bass are trying to eat our fish on the line… it's no wonder why they're so fat. Lol🤣

I’m not sure what you mean. Bfs means casting ultra light lures on bait casting gear. That’s what I was doing in the video. I could be casting on dry land and it would still be bfs. Hah yeah I sometimes when they stock trout I throw trout profiled swimbaits in hope of catch a big bass.

I really love the 15 Metanium Dc , but after using this new one. It think the new one is a better caster. It can cast a lower weight lure too

The reel is not longer produced, you would have to find one somewheres second hand. It’s also a heavily modified reel so you would have to build it yourself once you acquire all the parts. www.digitaka.com/item/39/6/6/4533933021652 this is the link for the rod though

How is the trout special spool? I can't decide between the two Avail spools. I'm worried the trout special is too fragile.

I like it better than the solid spool, adjusting the brakes is easier, you can cast lighter weights and the spool isn’t as fragile as you would think. I caught some 5lb bass with it now problem. Of course I don’t use much drag pressure cuz the avail pinion gear is fragile.

@@Baitfinessefishing I'm having a strange issue with my 2500c. The spool is rattling loudly when I cast if the reel is tilted handle-side down. Moving the white brake spacer (avail mb brake kit) to the right solves the issue temporarily, but the rattling comes back if I tighten the spool tension knob as it moves the spacer back into place. Any ideas for a fix? Thanks a lot!

@@Baitfinessefishing I have the honeycomb avail trout special and the AMB250R. This issue was happening with both spools. The brake system is the avail MicrocastBrake AMB1520PE.

@@zhelsel my first thought was that the spool was making contact with the brake hub. You can test it by removing the brake hub and try reeling it in the way that the spool was rattling around. This reel is built from parts, you can’t just buy the reel. You have to located all the parts from various places and build it. The way you see it here is about a $2000 reel

Do you think Remington gun oil could do the same? I use Remington gun oil on my nitro RC truck bearings it works really good. Just wonder if it would be okay for fishing reels.

REM oil would lubricant the bearings, but would not clean them. I cleaned my bearings in this video. You need some type of solvent, I used acetone.

no good.. lures are beautiful ,craftsmanship second to none.. BTW , I’m pretty sure this lures are made for currents and that’s what make them even more valuable , it’s v. difficult to find a lure , specially floating kind that holds up good in fast moving water…👍@@Baitfinessefishing

Very interesting , thanks for sharing , 8,6” casting rod with this specs that’s almost impossible to be true. I’m very curious how they came up with this 0.8 g lower limit. Would this rod load up under such small weights and actually cast better than an broom stick ? I’ve been looking for 8.6” - 9’ casting stick to use it with nymphs and streamers and so far I was able to find only one that could work GOTURE WAVIER Ultra Light . BTW, did you know what ajing means when you bought it? I thought it was part of the name at first ,lol , we learn every day…Cheers.
