Into The Storm takes a leap into the past, to the beginning of the whole story. It narrates events that occurred between Morgoth and Ungoliant, the gigantic weaver spider of darkness from whose lineage also came Shelob. After the two had destroyed the Two Trees of Valinor, Telperion and Laurelin, and stolen the Silmarils, Ungoliant, not satisfied and eager to possess the three magical jewels, attacked Morgoth, ensnaring him with her webs; he called forth his Balrogs, who with their fiery whips drove the spider away.

Blind Guardian is a band I loved as a 13 year old but coming back to it. I appreciate it even more. Ive outgrown Iced Earth but BG has these genuinely complex and rich songs.

Funny enough this would also totally make sense to be about Elias and his wife Hylissa from Memory Sorrow and Thorn by Ted Williams. Sorrow does indeed sing. And the Deal Elias makes to bring back Hylissa is a Foul one that brings endless Winter and death, while Sorrow, which he was granted as Part of the Deal, slowly drives him insane with its song
