Wind was quite light 20km/h ish, AUW would be 100kg so 6.25 kg/m^2 projected. Trim speed is roughly 45km/h, Trimmers out 55km/h ish. I'm at the very top of the weight range for the wing. The ideal wind is 30km/h gusting 40km/h for this wing.

Nah, might have been one of the hang gliders maybe? They were flying after me was 5-6 of them. If you have any details I.e colour of the glider I would be interested to know. I'm the safety officer for the Wellington club so always trying to keep track of any accidents and look at ways to minimise risk when flying these local sites.

Roughly 100kg, so wing loading of 6.25kg/m^2 projected. Not sure of what the trim speed would be with the trimmers in but would be around 45km/h.

It's my vario, beeps when I'm going up and single tone when I'm going down. Helps me find thermals as that day it was mostly thermal lift with not much dynamic lift off the hill.

Gin Atlas 26m+ gin verso 4 harness, currently a new pilot so only have 20 hours. Wanting to eventually fly mini wings as where I live (wellington NZ) its usually slightly too windy for a full size wing.

Ticking you heard could be coming from the Shims. Does it go away after engine warms up ?
@Mrsargent4427
@Mrsargent4427 4 жыл бұрын
Nah still ticks just the same randomly. Strange thing is it's gone now when I put it back together. When I measured all the clearences for the intake shims they were all almost exactly 0.16mm and every exhaust shim was almost exactly 0.23mm except cylinder 4 which had one at 0.25mm. So all shims where in spec. Someone on the Facebook page suggested it could have been the coils arcing randomly. Dunno it's gone for now at least.

@@Mrsargent4427 mine was doing that noise and it was dropping a cylinder changed coils and new spark leads went away and hasnt misfired 400ks later

@@XmaltezX yea think when I put it all back together I must have jiggled the leads enough that the connection is better. Hasn't made the noise since I made this video.
