I've been visiting a lot of dog parks lately (to vlog, not with a dog) and one thing I notice is that many owners are NOT paying attention to their animal at all. On the phone mostly(young folks) or socializing with their group (older folks/seniors). I have a question for you, what opinion do you have on private dog parks, like membership places?

Why does a dog get treated like a child gets to be hand fed but a kid that is a human does not get to be hand fed and this question does not need to be a question for dog trainers

Dog people should stick with dog people in their own spaces and sort it out themselves. You people advocate on how gentle these things are, but you dont even want to be around dogs and dog owners yourselves. You and your pets ruin spaces wherever you go. Defication, urination, destroying property and wildlife. Just ew

Can you answer me a simple question. Can a dog give consent to be petted? Like if some one tries to give a dog a belly rub, can the dog say "no I don't want a belly rub" or say "yes I want a belly rub" ? Can dogs speak to give consent?

Such an easy breed to train without treats. Why use treats for an Alsation?

@@lydiatrainsdogs kibble is treats! So why do you need to use them on such an intelligent breed? I'm a trainer too but I take on the so called 'dangerous dogs' that no one else will touch. we stopped using the crate when my puppy was about 6 months because she hated it. she’s been having issues with destructiveness and separation anxiety so now at 9 months i am trying to crate train her again. using this method i’ve been able to get her excited to get in the crate and voluntarily staying in there. we’re working towards naps and downtime in the crate. thank you for this method!!!!

Thanks so much for this! We just adopted 2 rescue dogs. 1 isn’t crate trained (they think 6-8 month black lab mix), we’ve had her a few weeks, and the other is coming home tomorrow (8-10 month border collie) that IS crate trained. I’m trying to figure out if I need to crate train the lab, or just let them be as they are. I don’t want our border collie resenting the freedom the lab has, haha!

Why is it a figure 8 instead of a circle, first in one direction then in the other? Does that help the dog more in some way?
@lydiatrainsdogs2 жыл бұрын
Hi! You can do only right turns but it does help the dog to add the left turns in there so they learn you could turn in any direction on the walks and teach them how to maneuver their bodies in different directions while still staying close to you!
