You've just made my day! Thank you so much. I've been using EQ8 for a couple of years. It's been a huge help for my quilt designs. Your tutorial has shown me there's so much more it can do!

Thanks so much for sharing this Kari. I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out how to create a 60 degree diamond block on my sketchbook. Some days EQ8 is so mystifying for me I want to give up. These videos so so useful to me.

Thank you for posting this. I was trying to figure out how to make "Flat Iron Patchwork" from Barbara Brackman's encyclopedia and this really helped me 'get' it in EQ8! Success! <3 THANKS!!!

Very helpful! I also use EQ 8 and was curious about the Design N Quilt because.ofnits embroidery capabilities. So far it looks like the quilt design aspects of the software aren't yet very mature, especially for the price. But I'd definitely keep an eye out for future releases.

I'm just starting with EQ8 and my first is a panel. This video is very helpful but I do have one question. When you imported the companion fabrics, you checked the size (6") and then said 4-1/2" but then applied the 6" size which confused me. Trying to understand why the size matters. Is it because it would be important when importing a fabric with a design so the scale would be correct? You imported a solid but am guessing it is just one of those good habits to develop. Am I correct in my thinking? Thanks for the great tutorials.

Good info, but way, way too fast with too little explanation. Even though I reran many portions, I still couldn't follow all the clicks. I would love to see a slower video with more explanation.

I had EQ 7 but when they tried to transfer it to my new laptop it didn’t work because the operating system of my old PC was very outdated. I’m trying to justify buying EQ 8.

May I suggest you upgrade the operating system if you can? I think it will help with many other functions aswell as the ever important security. Perhaps youi can continue with EQ7 then. I had to upgrade from Windows 7 since it wasn't supported anymore.

Kari, great tutorial. I have a Brother Scan & Cut. The separation and import is so very much easier! If you’re every thinking of switching. 😊 Just design in EQ, print, scan into the scan & cut, and cut as needed. But I know lots of folks love their Crickets. This was a great idea regardless of your cutting method. Thanks for all your inspiring content
