Gay George Lucas forgot about And The Band Played On. That was a good movie about the early days of the AIDS epidemic unless you don’t count made for TV movies. He has a great film review KZbin channel with another critic called Breakfast All Day.

The Expanse is one of the more recent shows that was resurected by an outpouring of fan support (and Jeff Bezo's pocketbook).

Uhhh how about the most iconic death scene for me in Saving Private Ryan!! Young medic asking for his mother while Tom Hanks is giving him more morphine than they can spare because he didn't want him to suffer. The most heartbreaking. That's what put him on my radar and that was in the 90s!!

Would have been beneficial to show the clips of what you were talking about instead of a bunch of random clips. Good conversation though.
@TheCinematographyPodcastАй бұрын
Agreed. We are allowed to show some clips released by the studio, but to include all the scenes discussed requires rights & clearances to be approved from both studio and KZbin, which is time consuming to put it mildly. We highly recommend, turning on DUNE 2 on MAX and playing the scenes discussed while listening to the podcast, it adds another level to the conversation.

Our podcast has 2M downloads, but we've only recently started recording video interviews and posting them to KZbin. We actually feel we've grown pretty quick here considering we haven't been doing it for very long. But of course the number 1 way people find us is through personal recommendations. If you like our show, please share with friends, like all our videos and subscribe- then the KZbin algorithm might start suggesting our podcast to other people it thinks will enjoy it. Thank you for reaching out!

Regular listeners know that some conversations are more macro, often including war stories and the modus operandi of the featured guest; other can be are more granular and technical. While all topics are great to get into, we only had Steve for a very short period of time and the whole interview in here. Sometimes conversation about philosophy and problem solving is really what our featured guest want to talk about. If they give us signals that they want to get into minutia- you know we are very happy to go there.

With everything going on, it wasn’t until my 2nd watch I even noticed the intent behind the lighting of the Harkonnen’s planet. 🙃 Having the colors fade in the daylight, because theirs is a “black sun” with different properties, is an amazing concept. But to communicate it so brilliantly with infrared photography is just… it feels like seeing genius. 🤯 What an accomplishment

I think a reason DUNE 2 hits so hard as "Hard Sci-Fi" or Realistic, is the fact that its shot in Hard sunlight.
@carpinchipedia70095 ай бұрын
definitely, the fact it was actually shot in a desert and in built sets rather than a green screen room has made ALL the difference.

I agree....The Killer was a surprising miss for me in this awards season. Also, I went with All Quiet On The Western Front last year, so I wouldn't be surprised if El Conde takes it this year. But Oppenheimer is the solid choice for all.
