That's damn good. Thank you for the effort, it was a pleasure to hear.

main melody kind of reminds me of swan lake. very cool piece, composing with the oboe is never easy 😊
@sanylme5 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks! This was my first time composing for oboe and I didn't really know what I was doing so perhaps I got something right! I'm not too familiar with Swan Lake but I'll have to give it a closer listen to see if I can spot the similarity.

Why is this in a playlist for lost music?
@MisterDoorNumber16 ай бұрын
Because it was quote on quote lost at some point apparently

people can read this, make sense of this, know what is going on on the screen... Like what in the world? nice sound tho.
@pietervoogt Жыл бұрын
Nice. I guess you used the string section instead of solo instruments because the solo instruments don't sound very good in Musescore 4? I have that problem. Solo violins sound as played by amateurs.
@sanylme Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I prefer the fuller sound as well. The solo instruments can also have slightly dodgy intonation and tend to completely drop out when the dynamic is too low.

Mabe Village theme from Links Awakening
@sanylme Жыл бұрын
@@freddywalston Wow, thanks! I didn't expect some to reply so soon. Perhaps I'm just mistaken, but I was sure it was in A Link to the Past, especially because I hardly played Link's Awakening.

aah! if this helps at all. i’m a huge fan of nintendo games, especially the zelda series! and i’m pretty sure this is the theme of Mabe Village from link’s awakening! it may have originally been composed for ALTTP and not LA!

I think the crackling adds some texture to the vocals, I like it a lot.

Saw this by chance seems pretty awsome tho can you give the tabs
@sanylme Жыл бұрын
I'm not much of a guitarist so I don't know tabs or how I could write them up, but the chords go something like this: Verse - Gmaj7, A#dim, A#dim/F#, Bmin, Adom7, Gmaj7, F#maj, Bmin, Dmaj7 Chorus - Gmaj, Emin (add6 and a 2), Bmin, C#dim7 (with a B in there as well), Dmaj7 This of course misses out the exact chord shapes, passing notes, and plucking pattern (and I'm not sure if these are the correct chord names), but it's the best I can give in a YT comment. Thanks for listening!
