Hi Mark, well done. dressing Irish pattern local flies since 1972, these are excellent, thought out patterns. Remarkable style, American style wing. Appreciate it if you can tell me the blue hackle dye/ cape for the fourth fly , Mallard and Gold. As a thank you can I ask you to review the Haslam pattern, butt- Jacquard periwinkle wool or UV similar, throat hackle , same, underbody UV violet or similar, peeping. An excellent fly in hot LW, eve. Many Thanks, LG.

Hello Mark McLoon, It is a wonderful fly tying film. Nice and quiet, nicely explained to me. Your other film is also wonderful. I have a question in the intro of the films, I also see very beautiful flies. My question is: can you also show a video of that? Then this will simply be fun.

Gotta admire a tyer who doesn't crowd the eye. Makes it sooo much easier to pick out a Turle knot when you're on the river.

When fly tying becomes art. Beautiful work. The explanation of the winging technique was superb and then on top was the use of superglue applied to the tying thread to cement the wings in place makes perfect sense. I normally just use varnish. I also noticed that you had cut and tapered the bristles of the brush for accuracy...it is all in the detail.
@FinesseFlyTying11 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yeah applying superglue holds things in place immediately saving a lot of frustration 😉

Hi Mark, Just watched your video. Excellent flytying and very informative. Just one question…. In the video you use Artic Fox Hair for the black overwing.. You say that the hair is taken from a ‘Fox Mask’… Your fox Hair looks to be approx 11/2” to 2” long. I have previously purchased ‘Artic Fox Masks’ but the hair on Them is fairly short and mostly suitable for flies like Stoats Tails. Can you tell me where you purchased your ‘Fox Masks’ with Such longer hair………. Keep the video’s coming……..Really enjoy and learn from them. Best wishes…👍👍👍
