Thanks for this video. There is a way to open the EPB and put it in service mode manually and I really didnt want to do that. I just realized my bidirectional scanner is capable of doing this the way you did to retract the piston!!

I’ve been using nailers for years. Most jams are the fault of the nails not the tool. Thank you for this video! I have to install shoe molding in my Mother-in-law’s house this weekend and will feel better knowing she won’t have to jump every time my compressor comes on. Right now Harbor Freight has the usual sale on, so I’m getting another Bauer battery and charger too. One suggestion; always get the 5Ah battery, unless you only need a backup. Thanks again!

@GarageMahalLife7 күн бұрын
If you tightened down the hex screws, then attached the lineset, then reopened the hex screw, you should be okay. If it is a completely empty new line set you need to charge up completely, then it maybe necessary to pull a vacuum. Feel free to email me [email protected] and we can discuss further. Hi Brian, thanks for sharing. I've been looking at the Sora for a while, wondering if it would be a good candidate for upgrading some of my old 105 and Ultegra 9spd projects. I restore a lot of vintage bikes, and the Shimano 9spd is one of my favorite systems. Although I can usually rejuvenate the shifter mechanisms, replacement hoods are becoming non-existent for 105's, Ultegra, Dura Ace. Sora has the more modern bracket shape, which is more comfortable in the hand when riding on the hoods. I noticed on your bike that the bar tops are pointed down towards the front of the bike, you might want to try rotating the bars up in the stem before shifting the brackets up and hassling with readjusting cabling and retaping the bars. I've noticed a lot of newer bikes are setting the bars so they're pointing slightly upwards towards the front of the bike, with the hoods level with the bar top, or angled up slightly more than the bar top. Again, thanks for sharing, this 69 year old, wrench wielding, crank turning, bike building maniac enjoyed your video, and will subscribe to your channel 😁
@GarageMahalLife11 күн бұрын
Good advice, but I'll probably unwrap, reposition and wrap again, too much ocd.... lol. Love them so far, definitely a good replacement. Shift as crisp as the Ultegra but a bit of a different feel from the Dura Ace but at this price point 😀

Would having a bent frame cause front passenger tire wear on the inside? I've had two alignments done but still car pulls to the right.
@GarageMahalLife12 күн бұрын
Yes, however they should have discovered that if you had a 4 wheel alignment. Again front suspension pieces maybe loose and worn, also should have been caught in the alignment process.
