this is exactly what I was looking for. I feel like the trends are lasting about 2 weeks with some stragglers a week or so afterward. My question is, WHO is starting them? How do they begin? Is it from people who are already popular, then their followers repeating the trend? Btw, I typed in 'how long do trends last on youtube' and other videos came up that were irrelevant. I went to the filter to see what was posted in the past month and then you cam eup at the top. KZbin should have put you first, since your title literally matched my keywords.

Hi! First of all thank you for your comment, it’s a huge help for our journey 💋 Whoever can start trends to be honest. Because as we are saying they’re trends, and as every trend they do not last forever; and this is somehow the reason why everyone can start a trend, famous or not. Let me break it down for you: let’s say you have an account with 100 followers and you invent a trend RIGHT NOW based on the US elections (very trendy right now, right?). If the trend (which has to be original and unique), goes viral and starts to be replicated by other accounts… well, there you have a new trend! I hope this is clear enough, and if you’d like to subscribe to our channel it would mean everything! 🫶🏻🛫📈💋

@shehustlespodcastcy I lived in Switzerland for 7 years but I was born in Quebec (more precisely, south shore of Montreal) and I eventually returned when I was 15. The main reason why it's not easy to socialize in Switzerland is that in German culture, xenophobia is very common, because they are very wary of strangers. But if you go to the french part of Switzerland around Lausanne and Geneva, you will find the nicest Swiss people because the French are more welcoming than the Germans. But you know who is even more welcoming? The Canadians. Judging by the way you describe Switzerland, if I had to guess, you're talking about Zurich, Basel or Bern, not Geneva or Lausanne. They also have an italian region that is close to the border to Italy. The great thing about living in Switzerland is it's cleaner and safer than every other country in Europe. But the problem is, it also has the highest cost of living so you better make a high income if you go live there. The most affordable living I've had travelling was in southeast asia. China is pretty cheap too but their government is extremely Orwellian so I wouldn't recommend. In southeast asia, the one place I loved is Borneo Malaysia, but Thailand is also really good, both are great places to scuba dive. I haven't had the chance to travel much over the past 10 years though. Most of my travels were on my rich parents' dime when I was a kid or teenager.

@@lazo3251 It's interesting to hear about your time in Switzerland and your travels. I grew up in Lausanne and, in my experience, Bern stands out as the nicest and most relaxed city in Switzerland to make friends. It's true that the Swiss-German regions can be more reserved, but Bern always felt like an exception to me. I moved out when I turned 18 and since then, I've had the opportunity to live in France, Italy, Greece, South Africa, and Sweden. Out of all these places, whenever I return to Switzerland, I am still struck by how narrow-minded some Swiss people can be. Despite this, the environment in Switzerland is absolutely magical, safe, and incredibly clean. However, for me, these positives are not enough to live there full-time. I've also visited Canada twice and loved Montreal and Toronto very much. Canadians really do have a reputation for being welcoming, and I felt that warmth during my visits for sure! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's always great to chat with someone who's well traveled :) (Julie)

@@shehustlespodcastcy Yes we are more welcoming but Montreal is a terrible city to live in. The streets have potholes everywhere, and construction never ends, and it's mainly because of corruption because construction companies know they can make more money by using lower quality products to renovate the roads because it means they get hired more. This problem persists even outside of Montreal onto the south shore, but when you go to the US, you quickly realize they didn't make this mistake. Also, we have a very big homeless population, lots of drugs being trafficked in the streets, and also in some neighborhoods, there are gang hits, sometimes to make a new member prove themselves or just collateral damage. But if you're visiting as a tourist, you're unlikely to see any of that, except for the construction stuff blocking many of the main roads and sidewalks. Overall, I'm pretty happy with where I am because my family is among the top 1% in terms of wealth here, so we live in a pretty safe neighborhood where the crime rate is pretty much 0%. But outside of that safe haven, it doesn't look very good. A friend of mine who had untreated mental disorders because his family was too poor, ended up becoming a drug dealer because he couldn't even get a job. I personally spent many years without working, or working part time a few months at a time, but for many people, this is an unthinkable luxury. It's only recently after I turned 26, that I have started to realize all of this. My parents don't own a business though so I'll have to hurry up and finish my college degree to get a career before they retire. I just got COVID though unfortunately. The school I went to in Switzerland was Institut Le Rosey in Rolle, I'm sure you've heard of it, it has a lot of famous alumni. My mom was a teacher there from 2008 to 2012, then we did a trip around the world from 2012 to 2013, then returned to Canada, we've been here ever since. Going back to the topic, the biggest downside that Switzerland has is its traditions, and the fact that it is only since recently in like 2021 I think, that they made it illegal to prejudice against someone for being a member of the LGBTQ community. I didn't even know I was part of it, but I still suffered a lot by my classmates noticing signs. Thing is I would look at guys the same way I looked at girls, and they assumed I was gay and I was bullied a lot because of it, only to come back to Canada and see that one guy was openly gay and part of the popular kids. The difference in culture and acceptance of LGBTQ people between Canada and Switzerland is huge.

@lazo3251 thank you so much for sharing your insights but also personal story. We definitely can see these issues happening pretty much everywhere… there are always trade-offs right? But we prefer by far place where all people are welcome. Your childhood seemed to be idyllic especially with the chance to go travel around the world! What are you looking to work with ?
