Good run you had on DS54 there mate where I see the driver that day when you had the CL8 was trying his mighty best to drive it up hill as I noticed the hill before you hit the flat road after debden, it was struggling to climb up it where the driver maybe had to put his foot down to bring it up. And then that loud cooling fan just blaring so much really went to show you this bus was on its last legs and was on the brink of withdrawal. I mean DS54 still performed well on the flat roads, but uphills was going real slow. Which went to show you that age was catching up to it immensely and it wasn’t going to run forever that alas it has been withdrawn and up for disposal since Sullivan pulled out. It is a shame as I quite liked the scanias with Sullivan however they were going to be withdrawn by how not looked after they were. Good run nonetheless And I do wonder who will run CL8 in the future since Sullivan’s abrupt cessation?

I love how some of the W3 E400s aren't withdrawn like this one but at the same time I do miss the W3 with them most of them left the route now but this one does suit along with T225 which is on the 289

I can relate so much to the cooling fans, whenever these 64 reg buses accelerate (mainly on 109) they make a really loud fan noise its even louder from the outside.
