28 years old! 😅😅😅 Also, 50 years later, children's tv has gotten better, but Hollywood has gotten worse! 😕

Listened to these guys every day for years, best part of the day! I so looked forward to my morning drive with, “The Morning Mayor”, Phil Pepe and Mr. G! I was fortunate enough to call in and win 3 separate times, speak with Harry and hear him call out my name on the radio. I knew it at the time and always said it that these guys are the best and there will never be anyone else like them. So true to this day!

I remember this night. I was asleep and girlfriend and her daughter woke me up by pulling me out of bed and we ran down into our apartment complexes laundry room. Our apartment was on Richwoods and Sterling. It had a long corridor with small closets. 2 other residents knocked on the door I got up and let them in and saw the funnel by Sterling Ave.

Was about to say it's a rebroadcast.. the original is still up on KZbin with the original open and the full HOUR , but in four parts...this rebroadcast is edited down for time for PBS.. The twist here is i didn't know they rebroadcasted them. I did see the newer space themed episodes on PBS around 1985, the funding and quality was down from when it was on CBS. Great quality and great post.

How many small children even knew who Dolly Parton was? Especially in 1976, before she had her first big crossover hit "Here You Come From" (interestingly, not written by her)

I read that small book about him. Seems like he was from another world the way he invented and did things. He cam up with the one axle tractor that attached to the scrapers. He invented a whole bunch of very large machines. He has some factory buildings that were circular, all metal, and all welded together to hold up in bad storms.

Just an observation here, but on St. Louis Blues, there’s another performance they did on a different episode where Kenny is standing right next to Guy during the vocal chorus. And you can prominently hear Cliff Grass singing the first few lines of the vocal chorus too. Cliff even spruces up the clarinet solo too. In another clip of them doing the song, the clarinet solo after the vocal chorus was watered down and basic.
