The 12" fan worked well but still didn't cool enough at long stand stills. I upgraded to a Maradyne low profile heavy duty 12" fan sold by Jegs. She cools well enough that it actually shuts off now at idle. Part Number: 555-52161

Hello. Found you when I was searching KZbin for Vintage Air install in a 37 Chevy coupe. I'm still in the build stage and am wanting to install the Gen II system before painting firewall and installing front fenders. Nice work on the condenser set up you did as well as the fan shroud. Have you mounted the evap box under dash yet? Also, have you decided where to go through the firewall for the hoses? Any help would be appreciated. Don

Good timing. I just posted Part 4 video. A few bumps along the way but happy with the results. I made both defroster ducts from 20 gauge sheet metal because the Vintage Air ones would not fit. Good luck with your build and thanks for watching. Part 4 here.______kzbin.info/www/bejne/iX29pZJpZdiKlas

Thanks for the update. You gave me some good ideas - but no way am I going to plumb with copper!😂 Very impressive! Since my interior is completely stripped and nothing under the dash hopefully, I'll have a few more options getting through the firewall.

I'm not sure exactly. I don't work very fast. I guess it depends on ones skill level and experience. Thanks for watching.

Why did you change the location of the bottom mount?
@patrickharrandАй бұрын
Because in that location, the hood would not fully close. The lift support bottomed out first. Thanks for watching.👍👍❤
@Countryboy316Ай бұрын
I thought you would have to drop it out the bottom. How do you remember how to put it all back together
@patrickharrandАй бұрын
I knew it would come out the top if the trans could be raised and nudged a little to the Drivers side. Also, I take some photos and try to bag/label fasteners and brackets to make assembly easier. Thanks for watching.

I'm working on my second focus, it takes less then 30 min to remove the doors and front fender and makes life so much easier. Just roll down your windows first, makes it easier to carry the door. I realized that after I took them off

I bought a 2009 ford focus all look good until the rockers stated rusting, took a hammer to it and a wire wheel, the last guy fixed it took a slip on rocker panel, put it over top and give it 4 tack bottom and 4 top and body filled it all and bed liner over top. Started taking it apart, inside filled with dirt and gravel and inside completely rusted out.

Beautiful Patrick. 3 piece rims are awesome. I'm not findin' anything on the internet but my '67 Lemans black vinyl top had a Ford top plate 303 transmition w/hurst shifter. Have you run into this shifter & trans combo? Thanks Patric. Ron
@patrickharrandАй бұрын
Thanks Ron. My LeMans still has it's factory Dearborn 3 speed transmission with the Hurst shifter. The transmission actually says "Fomoco" on the casting. Thanks for watching.

@patrickharrand There's an awesome book available explaining everything about every carb & how to tune them. Tuners I've read on the internet refer to HPBOOKS "ROCHESTER CARBURETORS" by Doug Roe. Quads and Carter AFB 450s like mine are unbelievable for power and economy if tuned correctly. More CFM is not better. Summit offers Power Valve springs, jets, main & secondary rods, secondary rod hangers, etc. Quads give fuel when the engine is ready. My son & I had awesome luck with this book. The first thing we did was to get rid of the Quadra bog. Good luck, Patric. Ron

I did this method on a 1949 chevy, with 15" shocks. Now that im doing a 1954 Chevy I'm thinking i should get the 18". Whats you option on using 18" shocks to get more lift?
@patrickharrand4 ай бұрын
The 15" seems to work ok. It wouldn't hurt to go a bit higher on the lift amount to maybe 110 pounds. I know these tend to weaken over time. Thanks for watching.

Just finished the console! Came out pretty nice! I had some of the same creeping crud on the "chrome" console body, and was able to mitigate most of it, not perfect, but very well within the acceptable range for me! Someone had locked, then lost the key to the console, so they really damaged it when they forced it open. I had to replace the hinge, hinge shelf and hardware as well as the lock and spring. I also replaced the "woodgrain" and it came out fantastic! What a difference! I tried to rehab the console box as best I could. The original interior material is way gone and I'm trying to figure out what I can do to make the interior receptacle@@patrickharrand
