Hi, I recently bought this guitar effect and it sounds really fantastic, but I have one question for you about it, do you also hear the big noise generated by Mad Monarch when you turn on the preamp and drive at the same time? I like heavy sounds and to do that here you have to turn up the gain and drive at least half, but then I hear quite a big noise of the effect that even a noise gate can't eliminate. Is it the same for you and is there any way to do it?

I bought this exact guitar mid 90’s from a local pawn shop. I talked the guy down to $300 tax and all, even came with the original case. It was in execelent condition. About a year later i sold it for $800 on ebay. Even that guy got a hell of a deal. I now regret every guitar I ever sold. Glad to see that one in such great condition.

@@ultimatemetalguitartones hey man, thanks for your quick response! Ahh that’s good to hear! 1 more question, how much gain does it have? Is it like the mark 4, that you’ve got a lot of sustain and saturation? And the same question for channel 2:). Sorry for the many questions, but I’m thinking about getting one too!
@Sledr19947 күн бұрын
@@maxxboomgaard3447 Let me just say this: it has enough gain, and you'll never need more! However, i have to say i generally use channel 2 (mark III) for heavy riffage, as it sounds basically the same as the IIc+ section and it is even a bit more aggressive. This machine sounds really nuts, and it's so easy to dial in. Every tone you set in by randomly moving knobs and levers is good. Only drawback is the price. I bought mine in 2009 for more or less 700 euros, but now is absolutely unreasonable. I keep mine, but I'd never buy it again nowadays. A Boss Katana can more or less replicate any of its sound for 300 bucks.
@maxxboomgaard34475 күн бұрын
@ hey, thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it!:) sounds good and thanks for the info! I wish they still were that price haha, would save me a lot of money. Good to know that ch1 and ch2 a really similar. Thanks again:)

I scored a USA SL2H on the cheap due to issues, the main one being the clear coat not adhering to the metallic black properly. The slightest ding and it leaves a milky spot due to the clear out separating. No such issues on my 80's and early 90's Japanese Chushin Gakki built Jackson/Charvel guitars, and my 91 Soloist Pro's neck feeling identical to the USA.
