I have seen other homemade tteokbokki recipes that use "glutinous rice flour". Here you mention that we must look for "gluten free" rice flour. Can you please explain the difference to me? Is it the rice flour I can get at the regular store, or is it specialized like mochi flour? Thank you in advance. I am excited to try your recipe! :)

Good question. Gluten in flour is viscous, so it's easier to make bread or rice cakes. But there are quite a few people who find gluten hard to digest. Especially here in Far East Asia. So I used gluten-free rice flour to make it easy for everyone to eat. 🤗Hope it helped. Have a nice day.✨️

I tried once to make Tteokbokki . When i boield the rice cakes, it turned yellow and got hard as a rock.
