His voice never failed him. He had an exceptional gift with his vocal abilities that have never been adequately acknowledged. His musical genius is a sad aspect of the blues and rock that has been overlooked or tragically never placed amongst the greats of Rock and Roll, not to mention the Blues.

Hendrix/Keef/Thunders/Page) HALF the guitar you hear is him! (rhythm AND lead!) He had the crowd in the palm of his hands! He turned a concert into a party! He was 'the-best' or 'one-of-the-best' in more categories than any musician I've ever seen! (maybe that's why he kept gettin' knocked down?) A lot of Rock Stars were 'ripped-off'. Marriott had the privilege of being robbed (high-profile) TWICE! The 2nd time; When trying to find out where all the 'Humble-Pie' money went; He was sat down by the Mob ('top-tier') & told: "Shut up and walk away." btw: Part of the stolen funds were used to finance Frampton's solo career. *𝗥𝗢𝗫 𝗢𝗡!* - Dave B.

Saw him with Humble pie several times, he was a dynamo. He could hit these high notes that were unbelievable. Wired to the gills though, still the best though in my mind, what a performer/ singer.

Oh my God...how sad. 😢 Mr Marriott, live on, if only for the generations that never saw, and maybe never will, know what you did to change attitudes of small minds to make the world a more tolerant and accepting place for new generations. Maybe you didn't even know. I can't talk for anyone else, but people like you made a huge difference to the difficult childhood my sister and I had. We became brave enough to leave our home in secret one night, hitch-hike across australia as far away as we could get and take our chances on the streets. I know that sounds dramatic to people reading this. But it wasn't then. We did do it a bit tough. Anyway, many years ago now and much water under the bridge since then. Thank you. RIP ❤

Just some good old time rock from years past. Heard this at 12 years old. Ya just had to be there. One of the best.

I regret I never got to see him, he lived in my area and I got into the Small Faces heavily just a few years after his death, thanks to the Channel 4 "My Generation" documentary about the group in 1995.

Seen them live in 65 and Steve still stands tall and proud as ever thanks for everything 😮😮 xx.

saw him at his last tour in vienna, back then i was really shocked about his pants,

I was lucky to see him in Rehoboth DE. We can came back down for second day soundcheck and Marriott bought me a beer and played pinball with me. We had good weed and got invited onto the bus after that show. Spent some time with Goldie talking about the Vietnam war. How lucky to have caught time with Marriott just before his passing.

One of the best songs written in the 60s and that’s saying something.

Steve Marriott sang with such intense feeling. Killer guitar player as well. He was the man.

I used to see him at the Torrington in North Finchley regularly. Wonderful show Fridays and Sundays. Now a coffee shop. The Moss Hall Tavern and the Standard in Walthamstow went for a Burton too.
