Thank you for the info. I wonder why it is a difference in twisting vs braiding to the end of loc? And yes it is ok, its called learning and improving AND seeing what works for YOUR hair.

@@AbenaW-e7c Thank you gorgeous! I blow it out because most times I’m on the go. I have two demanding littles so I have to make it quick. 😂 My Sisterlocks consultant said that it was ok for me to blow it out on a warm or cool setting, not hot. It literally takes about 3 minutes or so, so that works for me and it’s not an abundance of heat to my hair. Additionally, my braid and band generally has me looking like Coolio (RIP) 😂 so I can’t go outside like that and I don’t want to go to sleep with wet hair so it just works. @@AbenaW-e7c Yay! Congrats! They really are awesome! I did actually. I went to my natural hair stylist a day or so before my install and she shampooed and deep conditioned my hair as well as placing it in twists for me without product. Your hair has to be clean and product free for installation.

So glad I saw your video! Question* I'm doing my own steam treatments at home tonight...did you hv to wash out the conditioner from your steam treatment before your install? Your hair still looks so hydrated after the install😍

Hi there beautiful! Your hair has to be clean and dry with ZERO PRODUCT which was a crazy thought to me initially because as a loose natural, we always use product right? So the day before my installment I had steam treatments and conditioning treatments done and she rinsed it well, detangled, and then placed my hair in twists for easy maneuvering during my install. Thank you so much! My hair has really maintained its moisture. I was concerned about how the detox would go (letting go of all product use) and amazingly it wasn’t bad. My hair looked great and the traditional itchy scalp only lasted for about 3 weeks. I’m excited for you and your journey. 🥰 @pattip8110

Recipe below: Garlic Onions Peppers Shallots Fennel Leeks Tomatoes Zucchini Chicken bone broth Vegetable broth Olive oil Kidney beans Navy beans Black beans Salt Pepper Your own blend of spices 1. Chop all the veggies 2. Sauté the trinity mix for 3-5 min 3. Mix in the carrots and saute for 3-5 min 4. Add in chopped veggies 5. Add in broth 6. Add in beans of choice ( I used kidney, black, and navy beans) 7. Set Instapot to cook on soup for 30-45 min. *I season in layers as opposed to only at the end. That’s it! Easy to do (after the veggie prep) and worth it all!

How long did it take for yours to go away?

It takes a good 6 months. Get you a little water bottle and Spray your scalp. My loctician suggested sea breeze but i didn’t use it. One day I looked and was like, hey my scalp hasn’t itched LOL. I had gone to the dermatologist thinking something was wrong. She gave a tiny $75 bottle of shampoo (which I used) but had I known the itch was apart of the process, I wouldn’t have panicked.

@@dr.nicolemccarty you know I’m not sure I thought or believed people or I could love their/my hair BUT I do! I adored my loose natural hair. Was not getting sisterlocs bc I hated my hair or found it difficult or any of the negative emotions a lot of type 4 naturals experience. But this is by far the best decision!! This journey I’m embracing it all and not rushing to get to the next stage. I wake up and look at my hair and it really is “good morning, gorgeous “, in my best Mary J voice!
