Near the start of the video, at about the 2 minute mark, the tutor says that the component of the force of gravity in the opposite direction from the force of tension is equal and opposite to the force of tension. I think that this is incorrect. The force of tension is causing a centripetal acceleration equal to the speed squared divided by r at each instant, so these two forces can't be equal in size at all times. In fact the two forces will only be equal and opposite at moments when the velocity is zero. This is not a major part of the explanation, but I thought it worth mentioning as it does seem incorrect and I wouldn't want people to be misinformed.

since a lot of people seem confused i'll sum it up A force meter or Newton meter is similar to a scale. It measures weight and uses Newtons (N) as the unit of measurement Weight is a FORCE which is mass x gravity. Your weight changes depending on the gravity of the planet you're in but not your mass. Mass is what you're made from. WEIGHT = MASS x GRAVITY. A force meter measures your weight not mass so its reading on the same object could change depending on the planet you're on. To use a force meter you hang whatever you want to weigh on the hook and let go. Then you read it off the scale. Make sure you read it at eye level or you might get the wrong numbers. This is called parallax. Hope this helps! ❤❤

They really played us with that first question. In past papers they had rarely used the equation L=mvr, but your working made sense. I hadn't even thought about using that equation, smh.

I think this explainaton is wrong. About 9 minutes in he states that: a = w*2 x y, but that is wrong because it is: a = w*2 x L --> This means that you can't immediately say that w = sqrt(g/L) --> It would mean that w = sqrt(g x Y/L*2) and that would never result in the in the endformula: T = 2pi x sqrt(L/g), but it would end in the formula: T = 2pi x sqrt(g x Y/L*2). I am a bit uncertain, because I do know that the formula he eventually gets to is a correct one (even though it's a approximation that work with small angles). I know this video is a bit old, but hopefully someone can explain this to me :).
