Ummm...NOTHING makes the "Sequel Trilogy" better. It is simply not CAPABLE of being anything but a malignant atrocity, an aberration, in the franchise. As far as I'M concerned, the Star Wars story ended with Episode 6.

I wish the prequels focused a little bit more on Palpatine's manipulation of events around the galaxy, leading up to Order 66, and I wish the sequels had a definitive story arc already laid out in pre-production. I agree that Order 66/the Jedi Purge is probably one of the most profoundly huge events in galactic history. That coupled with the fall of the Galactic Empire lays the groundwork for some pretty intriguing story-telling.

Okay. I agree that the mystery makes it better. I also agree the Jedi were wrong. But Rey isn’t a Skywalker.

Why all the hate for the sequel trilogy? With the exception of a few scenes, I thoroughly enjoy it. Plus Rey is so hot

The fact that order 66 improves everything that came after is undeniable. But the prequel era is much more interesting for me. Palaptine secretly causing problems all over the galaxy (like the Naboo invasion), to publicly solve some to gain popularity and power while lettting other problems cause havoc in the galaxy, so separtist movements rise so he can craft a war he has complete control of and use it become the emperor and destroy the jedi, makes me love the prequel era over the rest of them.
