If you like ciders there is a fairly new cider brew pub that opened in Mililani called Paradise Ciders. They have tropical ciders made from mango, passion fruit, pineapple and guava. You can order food there also. Its a great stop on your way to or back from North Shore/Haleiwa. Its a great place to taste unique ciders. I hope you can make it there and enjoy!

Looking at booking a poolside room through expedia. Are rhere extra resort fees that had to be paid when you arrived there?

Sorry for the delayed response... but yes we did pay a Resort Fee of approximately $30 per day.

My Mrs has Monkeypod on her list for breaktast but the breakfast menu just seems the same as what the other water front hotels offer. But we will splurge on a water front breakfast once. But which one ? We did go to 100 Sails for all you can eat buffet dinner ! That is a winner , crabs legs are on the buffet , absolutely loved the food there ! Cheers Rod I’m subscriber 451 🤙

We loved Waiola Shave Ice , texture and flavours ! Very old school looking place but loved it ! We had Matsumoto loved it too. I went out on a wing and choose Lime , Coconut and Pineapple but the LIME flavour was the big surprise and had to get it again at Waiola, did not disappoint. Thanks for the tip , didn’t know about Lahaina Shave Ice , it’s going on the list 😋 🤙

First sample cut, here’s a friendly hint, hack, whatever you want to call it but it’s the proper use of a steak knife: (I don’t understand how people can grow up not knowing how to use a knife.) The piece of meat that your fork goes into, is the piece you’re cutting to eat. Your knife carves around that piece. You don’t put the fork into the big part of the meat and cut a piece away from the fork. I find that so odd. Happy 10th anniversary, though folks. It looks looks like you’ve discovered one of Oahu’s hidden gems for prime rib. Thanks for sharing.

great video and you critique the woman's knife technique? sheesh. thinking about how you do it (holding the piece you intend to eat with the fork to cut around the fork seems odd to me). btw, I do exactly what you describe what not to do: I hold the larger piece of meat down with a fork in my left hand, cut away a bite-sized piece with a knife in my right hand, and then switch the fork to my right hand to pick up the smaller piece to eat. other things to consider: do you cut multiple pieces to eat or one piece at a time? (fine dining rules supposedly insist cutting one piece at a time) what about buttering bread? most people butter too big a piece of bread and bite through the butter. Old-school used to say you tear or cut a bite-sized piece of bread and butter that and eat it with one bite, rather than see your bite marks in the butter and bread as it sits on the plate (you can then still share). lots to consider for sure. let the lovely couple eat. congrats you two! my own marriage is in the 27th year...

I've actually spent a night in one of the poolside cabana rooms. It was really nice to be right on the pool, but the pricing makes it a difficult choice. For nearly the same price you can get an oceanfront room at the Sheraton Waikiki, or Monana, if you're not married to Marriott oceanfront at the Outrigger could even be less. Still a cool property though.

We have seen a few videos featuring hotels like Surfjack or Queen Kaliolani and of the two, we have opted to stay at Queen Kap. Surfjack seems like a decent hang but the rooms and pool aren’t quite our vibe. We have heard great things about their restaurant though. Let us know how it was! Thanks for watching!!!
