Looks like the esc is shutting down beacuse of overcurrent draw. Have you tried to run it in ? Just drive it around a full battery or two just to loosen it up, and break in the motor ? The control board might just be faulty too. I have one of these in the mail on the way :-)

I swapped out the radio/ESC for the one in the MN82 and it worked like a charm. So it must be the electronics module. This last weekend I swapped out for a RadioLink receiver and a cheap ESC. (Video coming soon) It does seem to be working better, it is still "under powered" as it stalls. I don't think it's the replacement ESC because it will get over if you give it full power. The old electronics module would not do that. With that said. The MN99S platform is a nice little platform if you like to tinker and upgrade. I plan on getting my 3D printing skills up to the task and make some modifications that will hopefully get this little guy up and running like a champ. I have lots of plan for this crawler. I am interested to learn how yours performs. Please let me know.

@@BillsWorkbench I did a custom 3D resin body on mine and did not have any issue to fit all the electronics inside. D4L ESC and light system + sound modul. For what I seen about this kit, there is enough room for everything even with the Scania body.

Would you please make tutorial how to make mn128 V2 waterproof.😊
@BillsWorkbench18 күн бұрын
I don't have my MN-128 stock enough to do that. But maybe I can do that with my MN-82. The Electronics would be straight forward, but the servo would require a replacement after a while of using in water. To water proof the Electronics I would use Silicone Conformal Coating and apply that to both sides of the Receiver and the board inside the servo. The battery connection would also be an issue, I would use electrical tape on that to keep the water out. One issue I can see is the speed controller part of the receiver board overheating after applying the Silicone Conformal Coating. Regarding the gears you would need to apply grease to keep the water out. After using it in water you would need to properly clean out the axels and transmission. You would also need to re-grease and oil all the proper parts. It's a lot of work to keep a RC crawler working well, I am lazy when it comes to that. Maybe that I why I don't use my crawlers in water.

Does the amperage at which you charge differentiate on the what type of battery you’re wanting to charge?
@BillsWorkbenchАй бұрын
Yes the smaller the battery the less amperage you should use. Each battery should have a the recommended amperage listed on the battery or on their site. I charge at 1 amp when I am unsure.

I just got this charger yesterday. I have a brand new pack of Zee’s 2S Lipo batteries rated at 6500mah at 120c. When I set the charger up, the counter in the middle on the bottom row doesn’t stop going up. Any idea on what is going on? It’s currently at 9:33 and still going up. I have it set at 6.5A and the limiter set at 6500mah.
@BillsWorkbenchАй бұрын
@@mylifeintexas I have hand the best luck setting the amperage to 1 amp to start. The max I have charged is 2. The amperage will affect charge time and keep the battery from overheating. More amperage will not give you any more run time or power in the battery. Make sure both the balance plug (white one) and the main plug (2 connectors) are plugged in when you charge.

i want to buy an extension tube to convert from 6 d cells to 8 d cells will the original incandescent bulb handle the extra power?
@BillsWorkbench2 ай бұрын
I don’t think it will, you can try it. Worst thing you will need a replacement bulb, and get the LED it much brighter. If you just want brighter you can just get the LED bulb. But if you just want the larger size, you will most likely need a new bulb as well.

You mentioned putting a switch on it to where you could change the direction in which it spins anytime you want. How would I go about doing that?
@BillsWorkbench2 ай бұрын
I would start with something like this: amzn.to/3wsxTmq. (DC Motor Polarity Reversing Rocker) but it is most likely way too large to fit inside the tool. You may be better off getting another rotary tool. amzn.to/44vZwYo. For what's it is worth I have switched to Proxxon tools and have not looked back. The still spin the wrong way but with the universal holder for their tools I can place the tool on my left and use both hands to hold the piece. www.proxxon.com/us/micromot/28610.php. Note: this holder will not fit the Dremel.
