Silly Silly girl- possibly worse than that Amy Rutland the little labour stooge who was on question time- not sure which of the two is worse. Her attempts to put Nigel down are laughable. The EU is undemocratic. It wants to force a centralised government over historic nations. Nations that can run their own affairs. EU legislation is not needed by self respecting democratic nations.

He walked off because if he wants to hear bullshit all he has to do is turn up at eu parliament or a committee meeting. And he gets paid for that.

But MEPs are TOLD what to vote in marathon voting sessions. And they can't propose legislation. Or overturn it. Basically they are a glorified rubber stamp for the commission. Which is appointed.

Presumably the eu will KEEP their "protected status" legislation after we leave.... Unless they want to fuck our pasty industry over.... And ofc the UK has now had Royal assent for the withdrawal bill, which will bring that legislation into UK statues. .....

Are you going to be kind to madeleina and explain to her that we are leaving the eu? Let me shock you. Nigel actually likes Madeleina. He walked away because it was a zero sum game. He wasn't being rude, he was being economical. Nigel has great discussions and conversations with remain voters. He listens and will engage with them. But when they start trying to . Lecture . Accuse . Tear strips out of him He votes with his feet. It's exactly how he works. Maddy was snooty with Nigel in that TV interview. She hasn't learned how to engage with him. Neither have the remoaners learned..... We're leaving the eu. Get real.

*8 things that don't work in my new Dell venue 11* I really wanted this machine to work, but when the keyboard loses its connection to the tablet every few minutes, the screen flips upside down whenever you detach it from the keyboard, and you can't enter anything into online forms, it's time to send it back...

Do you think this is more a hardware or OS problem? I hate when things seem like a great idea, then just never work that well. I guess that could be said for Window 8 in general - especially how they are trying to merge the touch interface and desktop environment together. Might be two years off before they figure that out, if ever. None the less I generally like Win 8 OS more than Apple Mavericks, having both - a PC workstation for my recording studio work and a Mac for work (opposite of how it is generally), but I can't say I'm overly impressed with either experience that much though.

No idea whethew some of the issues are with Win8.1 or not, but in any case Dell shouldn't be shipping PCs with ANY of these problems, let alone all 8 ...

Well done Mathew. You're a great communicator. A lawyer friend of mine (we have a few at the Commission) suggested that whenever I complain I invoke an Article of the ISO 9000 standard. This is now applied by most major companies and forces their customer relations to specifically address my request in their yearly report to ISO and follow it up. In the worst case with VW, I even got a letter of apologies signed from Mr Piesch himself (he then was the CEO). You gotta use the system...
