This was an appreciative instructional tutorial on what seems a very common issue with these faucets. I was able to follow it after one of my brass valve’s white plunger stuck in an open position. However I could not get the lever back on with the final nut. So I ended up trying to further clean out the valves by taking them apart into their 3 separate pieces. Unfortunately, one of the plastic plungers snapped while attempting to remove it from its brass valve housing! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get replacement parts? I don’t know how you were able to separate them without breaking the white plastic piece inside the spring?

Thank you SO much for saving me from a $300 replacement. I’ve fixed the leak around my handles. Unfortunately, now there is a consistent drip out of the faucet. I’m wondering if there is too much water pressure going to this unit. Do you know if a pressure reducing valve would help? Or another solution for the drip from the faucet? That said, thank you again for your videos. I’m very happy to have a dry countertop.

After fixing a few times I had to buy a whole new faucet, my cold side won’t stay open due to the worn out white plastic part, and I’ve searched all over and there aren’t replacement parts. Hope the new one lasts another 15 years.

Michael -- Thanks so much for Parts 1 & 2 videos. It is the sort of thing that Insinkerator would have/should have provided, had they had a proper regard for their customers -- and for keeping repairable items out of landfills. Thanks for the unselfishness that your showed by doing this. It would have considerably easier just to fix it, and not record your experience for people you don't even know !

That video was great Michael. I’m in the UK my hot tape/faucet was sticking on. I knew it would be a sticking valve which the lever operated, but Insinkerator UK don’t stock individual parts or repair kits. Nor do any other merchants. I watched your video then delved in. I was able to pop out the plastic plunger without removing the valve body as you did, I just used two opposing small screwdrivers as levers. I used the plunger upside down to slide in and out of the valve body and established it was sticking. I used some 1200 wet & dry wrapped around a pen to clean the bore (brass) which had corroded enough to make the plunger stick. New ‘O’ rings and re-assembly. It’s now working freely, Thanks again. I hope my comment will help others. 😊

Would you please further explain how you "...used two opposing small screwdrivers as levers. ?" I think I have the same problem that you faced, i.e., the plastic plunger is stuck in the down position. However, perhaps yours was stuck in the up position, so you were able to apply force with with screwdrivers on opposite sides of the protruding plunger and force it down?

@ hi, once you have unscrewed the collar that holds the lever in place and removed it. There is another collar below that supports the pivot points on the lever. This just lifts out to expose the white plastic plunger. Mine was stuck just below the surface of the valve body. I used two very small electronic size screwdrivers that are sharp. There is just room to press these into the plastic opposite easy other and lever the plunger upwards. As described I used the plunger upside down to push back in which established the sticking problem. I suspect that the hot tap builds up corrosion because it’s exposed to hot and cold temperature changes. Hope this helps. Regards Jon

FUCK YEAH man !!!!!!!!!!!! I had a peak at your channel, you're somewhat making me proud I worked my ass off for years back when I was deploying hardware to improve KZbin platforms globally. When I see the stupidity content found on KZbin these days I kind of regret how many hours I busted with all the extra travel and stress.... Anyhow, the X1C is about to get used, then I'm totally going down to the river to pack some more salmon! Cheers !!!!!!!!! Only a few more subs and you'll reach your first thousand subs!

Upon reassembly of the same fan shaft the dang clip didn't hold. It ran for about 20 seconds and the clip came off. The shaft key spun and routed out the hole and major damage. So I manufactured a resurface disk from a tin can top. Covered the damaged hole and drilled new holes and used pop rivets to secure it. New holes for the key way and the little set plates on both sides of the fan. I tried to thread the shaft and struggled to hold it good enough to put enough thread to hold it down tight. Went with the threads I had and bent a washer into a V and the nut tightened and held. I did put some lock tight and so far its holding. Unfortunately the next fan failure will probably be catastrophic. Only commented so if the same issue happened to someone it might be helpful. We think alike !

You have no idea how helpful this was! Thank you! I had the opposite problem where the faucet had low flow and eventually stopped flowing completely. Even if I wanted to spend the $350 on a new faucet, there is no way I could get to the bolt underneath to unscrew it. I could not figure out how this thing works. Your video gave me a great guide. I especially appreciate the tip about the 14mm socket. I grinded it too! After cleaning it all out and putting it back together, it works!! Can I buy you a beer? Do you have Venmo or PayPal or anything?

you are missing the POINT of using a BRADLEY is NOT TO BURN the BISQUETTs only to SMOTHER when you burn Wood it is toxic when it burns to Ash it creates tars and Toxins which are layered on your MEAT is that what you want then don't use a BRADLEY you missed the design of a Bradley. this is why the WATER in the BOWL to EXTINGUISH the BISQUETT so it does not BURN COMBUST to ASH to create TOXINS Bradly ejector stops this INTENTIONAL from BURNING just SMOTHERING they are not trying to sell you more BISQUETTs by NOT BURNING THEM. no one reads the manuals these days. maybe we don't know how to read anymore.. .

Hey just wondering if you ever tested more solutions in the ultrasonic cleaner? I finally picked up an ultrasonic cleaner last week because I'm goin through an old Yamaha ATV and cleaning some stuff up so I have lots of rusted fastners. I was going to pick up some evaporust today to try in the ultrasonic cleaner but would be nice to find something that will work as good but cheaper.

Ha!! Dropping small parts down the drain would be my middle name, except in my case, they would actually have gone down the drain. Great video, very informative, thank you. I watched Part 1 because I wanted to understand the mechanics behind how these devices work. I have a 20 year old Everhot system that recently started leaking, and being a DIY imbecile, I yanked it out and took it apart without thinking or researching and ended up with all kinds of self-imposed problems I shouldn't have had. I feel for you Inskinkerator guys. Fortunately, my Everhot faucet is completely serviceable with replacement valves and o-rings available, even 20 years later. Prior to ordering the kit, I called the manufacturer to do the due diligence I skipped before ripping it to pieces, and not only did I get to talk to a live person on the first call, but they actually offered walked me through, over the phone, the entire rebuild process. There's another great KZbin video from someone else that had the same faucet and did same repair job, so I didn't need them to walk me through it, but I super appreciated their offer. On the Everhots, there is a little set screw on the back, and retainer pins in the levers that come apart really easily and expose the whole thing for easy replacement. And the valve replacement kit came with diagrams and instructions that were clearly written by someone that lives in the US. Thanks again for the great video. Part 1 answered my questions, but I had to watch part 2 to see how this story ended.

Hi Mike First class effort doing a three handed job with just one hand. Dripping cold water is usually due to the buildup of filter particles limescale effects both facets, once you have disassembled the unit surround it with lots of towels and then turn the water back on for at least 2 minutes. Re-assemble the unit and purge the unit for about a minute. Should clear all the curd away, wipe with a clean cloth and away you go. This video does which no other does, it shows a correctly filled and plumbed in device which is international and doesn't have the profanity and cursing I had putting it back together the first time. Lots of Love Lady S.
