If local Tianshui folks don"t mention of Du4 fu3, the another great Chinese Poet in Tang2 Dynasty, I never realize those qing2 zhou1 related poems are the real QING2 ZHOU PLACE OF TIANSHUI CITY NOW. TIANSHUI PEOPLE ARE HUMBLE and silent as a group!!

iT is in my 40s in Canada, from online and also from my old father, I knew that the great Chinese POET Bai2 Li was a Tianshui blood gene because his father was a Tianshui folk. And my father TOLD ME his BIG DREAM WAS TO OPEN a wine tavern called È li tai4 bai2 big TAVERN" BECAUSE HE drove to visit Dingxi city and found out that local GANSU PEOPLE had a TAI2 BAI2 TEMPLE THERE in MEMORIAL oF Li bai2. We all start reciting Li bai2"s poem ever from Grade 3 from Chinese textbook, not even one notice that li3 bai2 SHOULD BE A Tianshui citizen background. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to see some improvement in my hometown TIANSHUI CITY, GANSU PROVINCE, CHINA !! i never saw or knew there was a fruit called "strawberry" before age 12 in GANSU PROVINCE, China. Also I never knew how a fish tasted before age 12, i ONLY saw baby fishes in the village trenches in GANGU COUNTY, TIANSHUI CITY. iT IS till my age 20s, i get to know strawberries in Nanjing city, east coast of China WHERE i USED TO WORK. At age 12, my mom cooked me a big fish first time in Chongqing city, SOUTHWEST CHINA WHERE my parents TOOK ME TO LIVE WITH THEM in Chongqing city. Thanks for sharing.

MY MATERNAL GRANDMA USED TO GROW SO CUTE PALM-SIZED gourds in her court yard under the foot of Daxiang shan, the big buddha statue mountain side. It was so impressive when i was 9 years old, Not everyone can get the gourd seeds from Tianshui city, Gansu Province, China. She got it from her younger sister whom i called her Tianshui-grandma. Stitches is a big hobby for GANSU folks. My 80-year-old Great-grandma had stitched her own and great-grandpa"s pillow sides when she was young. i USED TO SEE she slept on her own self-stitched delicate pillow cases at age 80. She was the proud mother of Yucheng Li, one of the two founders of China Times( newspaper in ISLAND taiwan), the 40- year-period chief-editor and director of China Times.

Gansu local folks" wheat-straw crafts have been passed from ancestors, from generations to generations. THIS INSPIRATION is originated from Local GANSU farmers" wild field working. We GANSU FOLKS need the dried wheat-straws to burn our warm-mud-bed in winter. I used to see my grandma made the wheat-staws-dried into a pad and wrapped coals grounds into it, it burned whole night under our warm-mud-bed to keep us warm in freezing cold GANSU WINTER NIGHTS. i FELT CONFIDENT while sleeping on the straw-coal-burned warm-mud bed in winter nights ,hearing the wolves howling in the gangu county wild when i was young. Wheat-straws are so close to GANSU vILLAGE PEOPLE"S daily life. I am not at all surprised that straws have many useful function In GANSU. tHANKS FOR SHARING.

Desert land can be built into good and nice human beings" home. I have lived in Tempe, Phoenix, Arizona for 5 years in my 20s to 30s. Arizona state is the most similar place to GANSU PROVINCE, DESERTS are everywhere. But the roads of arizona are so wide, of big quality road signs. ALSO FAMILIES have green lawns if they spray some precious desert water daily to the grass. i ALSO EXPERIENCED THE FIRST "SAND STORM" in tempe county. It is horrible, when i drive on road, suddenly yellow sands blur the window and can see nothing, and i have to stop and wait at the side of the road for sand-storm passing by.

My personal experience at age 50s in Canada. It is very obvious after exams with a stressful brain, when you drink goat milk, immediately you feel relaxed and the brain is comforted . But if you drink cow milk, no such a feeling. "THE GOAT MILK HAS A STRONGER STRENGTH", THAT IS MY UNDERSTANDING OF MY GRANDPA"S WORDS.

Gansu goat milk is amazing!! how my grandma raised me--- she roamed our family raised goat in the wild field to eat grass. Actually while the goat-mom fed me, she was treated with the best food. My grandma fed the GANGU goat with grain flour mixed with some variety main grain in order to guarantee its daily goat milk for a baby me. My mother says that my baby goat milk is of high quality because the top layer goat milk is oily yellow. That is something like human beings" breast -feeding(first 7 days , which is called chu1 ru3).

Sheep milk, that is another brand new product from GANSU PROVINCE, CHINA, I HAVE NEVER TASTED sheep milk, guess it is similar to goat milk.

Compared with cow milk, Goat milk is very strong. This is what my grandpa told me. Our GANSU folks have a saying: people injured in the war, with illness or disability from war , they will gradually recovered their health if drinking goat milk daily. I was raised up by my grand parents" goat milk in GANGU COUNTY, Gansu province, China. pLEASE don"t laugh if i tell you this. DURING MY 12 YEARS OF CHILDHOOD LIFE, 3 GOATS-mum has served my daily milk in turn ever since i was a baby. I love goat milk, of high quality energy, and also recovers my health from long run.

Zhang county is very close to my hometown GANGU COUNTY, my cousin used to mention zhang county to me when i was 10 years old. Otherwise, i don't know Zhang county at all. Thanks for sharing.

GANSU folks grow lilies for root balbs, used as food ingredients, though lilies have beautiful flowers. It Takes many years to grow a fist sized lily balbs, at least 6 years for one lily balbs harvesting. Thanks for sharing GANSU LILIES growing on large scale on the wild mountain slope.

EDIBLE gansu LILIES, not only with beautiful flowers, but also with lily bulbs, of medical usage. My maternal grandma was the first person who boiled GANSU LILY BULBS PORRIDGE for me to eat!! Notice this, GANSU DOES NOT PRODUCE rice, northeast quality rice is a " royal treatment " to GANSU children, lily balb porridge is rare for me a GANSU VILLAGE GIRL!!
