I lived for Adam-12 and Emergency. My two favorite shows EVER even today! I became an RN because I wanted to be like Dixie McCall in Emergency.

Adam-12 still shows on Optimum every day and I record every episode. I just watched the last episode, followed by the very first episode a day apart. I started watching Adam-12 when it was brand new. That led to a 38 year career as a LEO, and I'm still avidly watching Adam-12 in retirement. RIP Marty Milner. You are missed.

I grew up two blocks from RAMPART DIVISION Police Station, Temple Avenue and Benton Way. I remember watching my friends houses being demolished to make room for the station. We would watch the TV crews filming some exterior scenes and watching the patrol cars rolling out. A couple times, Milner and McCord were out on the sidewalk. We ran accross the street to get their autographs and shake their hands. That was a big thing to us.

Thank you, Kent McCord, aka Officer Jim Reed, for this awesome tribute to your partner and friend, Martin Milner. I watch and also tape every episode. You tackled a lot of bad guys, Kent!! Prayers to all who knew Martin Milner personally and to all his fans. 🚔💙

Two of the most handsome men and best actors ever. I grew up watching them and we were lucky back then to have such great role models for young people. They don't make actors or shows or men like Marty and Kent anymore. Kent did a wonderful job with his eulogy. R.I.P.Marty.♥️ Take care, Kent and be well. Thank you both.

Officer Pete Malloy was one of my very first crushes, then the camera panned to Jim Reed. Game on!!!! Oh, yeah, I was six!!! Then came David Cassidy in his own featured show. Game over!!! Let's not forget Edward Mulhare, either!!!

“To Protect and to Serve” I was just a toddler, but I remember the whole family gathering to watch Adam-12. What made it such a great show? The casting was PERFECT. The events were realistic and dramatic. McCoy and Reid were in command…of themselves first. Discernment, respect, strength (both were very athletic), and the dialogue!!! I remember McCoy arresting a woman once and her telling him that a lady should NEVER be treated like that. He agreed! 😂 My children have learned to respect police, firemen, military, etc. And they’ve done so because they realize that the words on the door are true! “To Protect and to Serve” Adam-12, and Jack Webb’s other shows, were a window to watch my heroes. And my children, over 50 years later, feel the same about those shows, and about the real people they represent! God Bless the ones who protect and serve us!

I began watching Adam-12 at the age of 12, when it first came out. It was my favorite show for its entire run. So now at 68, I find myself watching it again on MeTv. It’s just as good as ever, and I occasionally luck up and get the pleasure of seeing one that I missed back in its heyday. No DVRs back then. One additional pleasure of watching it today is seeing all of those late 60s, mid 70s cars and trucks, in perfect condition. Beautiful. Most of them ended up on the scrap heap, destined to be ground up and turned into crappy rice burners. Sad.

This was a very special tribute afforded to him. I am sure some day there will be one for Officer Reed too. This tribute continues. A good friend of mine unfortunatly just passed away at my old dept and they had his EOW broadcast. Broke my heart to hear the audio tape of it.

Love the presentation by "officer Reed". I loved the whole show. However, If I were packing during this beautiful presentation I would have put a lead slug right behind the ear of the JackASS who kept standing up during the filming. God rest you Officer Malloy, even though you are a private citizen in this show of very well done for our boys in blue, so glad I was able to see you for years when I was younger. Fiction in this character is actually part of the police officer's life. I remember the first time I saw you in the old-old movie, Life with Father. You were just a 14 year old kid. You did great! Bless you, and I hope you are in the arms of the Father now!
