Bro it's kinda like they forgot that Otis and Maeve are the heart of the show after Season 2. Constantly, misunderstandings, obstacles etc. At a certain point it gets frustating and insulting to the viewers.

@@footballfan283 the problem being that it is difficult to write good drama. In the first two seasons it all feels natural and relatable, whereas in the last two drama feels extremely forced

@@fabiomassimocapasso7028even in season 1 and 2 there were so many plots just to drag their story love. I mean they could have just kissed in the bridge in season 1. In season 2 when Maeve told her feelings to Otis, Otis could have just say it back and then kissed. I mean there are so many forced scenes even in the first and second season just to keep dragging the will be/ won’t be together.

@@footballfan283 I don't agree much on that. Yes, they could have kissed on the bridge in s1, but it makes perfect sense that Otis got overwhelmed in that moment considering where he was in his development at that time ( maeve was the first person for whom he had feelings, and he wasn't accostumed much to human interaction considering his personal circle was basically just Eric and his mom). Even in season 2, Otis was in a relationship with ola and when Maeve confessed her feelings he tried to do right by his girlfriend despite still being in love with Maeve ( it’s worth remembering the trauma Otis carried due to his father cheating on jean, so it makes sense why he wanted to avoid doing the same thing). I’m not saying it couldn’t have happened earlier, but those situations didn’t feel forced, I’d say that when they kissed in s3 it was the right time. What bothered me was what happened aftert their first kiss. It was clear that Maeve wanted to be with Otis and that they were happier together but to keep on dragging the will they/won’t they the writers started making them do thing that didn’t make sense. The apex of the nonsense was reached in their cinema date, with Joanna gatecrushing it, Maeve getting drunk because why not, then the whole pool thing at moordale when Maeve tries to have sex when Otis clearly doesn’t want to. I think there’s a big difference between the first 2 seasons and the last 2
