I always sharpen my chains with the chain tensioned enough to keep it from rocking back and forth in the bar

Yes but; I don't think the chain was very sharp afterwards. It seemed like it took too long of a time to finish a cut.

Well the bendy loopy thing was the only method to hold it. Also could be called standard l brackets . They fit perfectly into the back of the awning.I put some more zicca flex on the seams and after 5 years no more leaks.

You mean you ghetto rigged the longest liability concern. Couldn't you at least have passed the power cord through the center of the pole? And why so many types of tapes? Store out of duct tape?
@KarlKirkaldy
@KarlKirkaldy 4 ай бұрын
Ghetto yes, however I believe it’s way safer then climbing ladders. And basically free of leftover stuff. Definitely cheaped out on quality tape. I didn’t know it would work as good as it did , so I could definitely make a 2.0. It has saved me lots of time and nailed branches I could never get before. Centre pole wire would be a great idea thanks.

You bolted the awning brackets on to the roof? Hmmm. I'd be too worried about leaks. Would it have made more sense to mount it to the side?

Nice job. I would recommend using 3M 4000 to seal it instead of SILLY-CONE. 3m 4000 is uv resistant and has better adherence properties, silicone is blahhh.
