Hi Jason. I am also in Australia. I have just bought an EV 50M and found your setup video really helpful. I would have liked to see more about how you set up your electric guitar to it via your pedal board. Presumably, you just connect your pedal board to the line of the EV 50M that you said you setup in the flat mode and control all its sounds by simply using the guitar controls and the pedals, but I guess you can still do the final volume mix intermingled with all the other inputs going into the Evolve 50M, using the EV APP.

I want to connect my Yamaha THR 30 to an EV8?

Connecting the foot switch is absolutely not easy! Not any pedal is going to work and in fact I've tried three pedals and none of them were able to engage and disengage! Very frustrating and the staff at the music store. Well most of them had no clue which pedal to purchase! I even contacted Electro Voice by phone-Headquarters and they could not counsel me to a third party foot switch. After spending nearly 4 hours researching on the KZbin and on the internet and various music stores, I finally found a pedal that worked. To save anyone reading this the time and great frustration, I purchased a pedal make from "ART" called the LSwitch. You want to purchase a toggle switch and not a momentary switch and this pedal finally worked!!

Quicksmart app doesn't work. I can see both of my speakers, but when I click on it to connect, it doesn't. I can play music though. can you update an app to make it work please? i use iphone 13 pro max with latest IOS software update.

Hi Jason, thanks for all your vids, love you're work and all you put out there mate. I have the 50m and for the most part, absolutely love the unit - how it sounds, the user interface etc. but I've encountered an issue that's got me quite concerned. On two occasions (one solo gig, one band gig), the unit has suddenly shut off and been unable to stay powered on. First incident was at a solo gig, I had my pedal board (guitar and vocals) and a stomp running into 3x separate inputs, sound check was fine then I returned to find it had shut down, I reset it, tried putting it on its own power supply direct from the venues (dual power point but the adjacent 240v plug, I'm in Australia) but wasn't able to get it to stay on. I did notice once that when I unmuted guitar from my tc helicon play acoustic the 50m shut off at the same time (not sure if its related). I ended up having to use my bose s1 pro for the whole gig, which worked just fine. I then tested the 50m at home the next day, exact same rig and it work perfectly for hours without a single glitch. I then used it at another solo gig a couple of days later, different venue and it performed without any issues. Second incident was a 4pce band gig on the weekend (2x guitars, bass, kick drum, 3x vocals). I was running it from the aux out from my soundcraft ui16, using it as a monitor and it worked for a bit but again, couldn't manage to keep itself on. It was sharing a power source with a number of other items but I didn't have time to troubleshoot so again I had to abandon it and rely on the s1 pro, which pushed through. I'm thinking it must either be a fault with the unit or it's really delicate with power source fluctuations (if that's even a thing, I've used it at a home and two other venues where it worked perfectly), causing it to shut off maybe as a safety feature. I haven't been able to find any shared experiences on the net so far. Hoping you or anyone else might be able to share some knowledge or advice on what I could do to make sure I can rely on this unit for gigs and to produce the sound I know it's capable of every time I use it. If you do get a chance, thanks for taking the time to read this and for your help

Can you connect the EV ZLX 12P G2 via link speaker(bluetooth) with an older EV GLX 12P not G2? Or only with cable?

I connect to INPUT 3/4 - Bluetooth® stereo INPUT for audio streaming or analog stereo INPUT via3.5 mm mini-jack with 3.5 mm from the computer but I can only get sound from one speaker. No problem when I connect via Bluetooth but it won't pair with 3.5 mm? Is it normal or am I making a mistake somewhere?

Hi how many zlx g2 speakers can one link through bluetooth? I want to link up 4 speakers in a restaurant setting.

How does this chamber compare to the main one that was at EV in Buchanan, MI?

Uso a linha ELX200. As modelo 12P com os subs modelo 18SP fazendo o P.A. e outras 02 unidades da 12p fazendo monitor. Excelente resultado sonoro e custo-benefício equivalente. Recentemente os logistas subiram uns 15% o valor dessas caixas o que me fez segurar a mão um pouco na aquisição de novas unidades. Penso num futuro em partir para linha EKX. Tudo vai depender de como a marca pratica sua assistência técnica no pós venda. Até agora não precisei, mas quando precisar, a depender do feedback da marca eu irei investir em um sistema mais top ainda.

Can't wait for the rest of this series! I think a lot of the confusion with these subjects is a lack of context, and I feel this is a great setup for the topics that will get covered soon. I agree with Cory in that some of this feels abstract at the moment but will all make sense once we start seeing it in action with future topics.

Like Cory, I don't think "oh, now I understand it all!", but I definitely learned some things that will help me get there someday!
