Thanks, Dave 🤘 man I’ll say this is a lot more finicky for drawers because the top bracket gets in the way of putting the drawer in if it’s not in the right spot lol. Cabinets were a cinch.

@mirth1 yeaa absolutely. Drawers can be tough , the only good thing is usually the top ones can't be reached anyway lol. But you're welcome!!

You should diagnose the capacitor. Don't just through parts at a problem
@daddydaveshowshow794513 күн бұрын
$15 dollar part is about as cheap and easy as it gets for people that can't afford a professional. After changing the inside filter , and cleaning off the coils outside , the next cheapest option when I didn't hear the buzzing of a compressor turn on or the click, was the capacitor. Very simple and cheap next step.

If the fan is running chances are the capacitor is not the problem
@roux504411 күн бұрын
Fan can still run with a duel capacitor if it is out on the hermetic side.
@eastsidepyro26855 күн бұрын
I've had 100s of service calls where the cap is bad but fan is still running, fan part of cap testing fine. Do you Even do hvac or read about it?
@dantheman416814 күн бұрын
Do not follow this person's advice etc. Especially regarding a charged capacitor. It could be potentially lethal.
@dennislinden365714 күн бұрын
Make sure warm is coming out, not a blown capacitor, capacitors are for starting the unit, not running it.
@JohnDoe-td3xx14 күн бұрын
Some units have both start caps and run caps

Was a bad capacitor. It's a dual capacitor, starts the fan and the compressor . Fan was fine and working properly, compressor was not turning on . Do I know every bit of the mechanical process behind ac no, I'm not a heating and cooling person lol. But changing my capacitor out for a new one fixed this problem. Working perfectly now.

Freon systems do not push cold inside in fact your system moves hot liquid inside and the evaporation of this liquid pulls the heat out of the air inside and moves it as a cold gas back outside.

Very dangerous playing around with AC capacitors. Make sure you discharge them before handling them. Better yet, hire someone who knows what they are doing so that you do not electrocute yourself.

Yea that's all in the description. Discharging the prongs do you don't get shocked , as well as pulling the outside fuse .

What kind of diy description is this. They don’t “blow” cold air, they pump hot liquid to a metering device in the evaporator coil.

My countertop hangs over too much to get my finger in to unlatch
@daddydaveshowshow79456 ай бұрын
Yeaaa that's a tough one, kind of at the counters will there lol. But if you could reach to handle or knob its only another few inches to the latch. Could put it on the side of the cabinet a third of the way down from the top to make it more accessible. They can be put on sideways as well.

I agree that someone who probably doesn't use hand tools such as drills on a daily basis would get intimidated by when it said to drill a 3/8th hole 1/2 inch away. I do projects like this at home all the time and the directions, even for me, were fairly confusing. Thank God KZbin has the answer to most life problems including mounting car seats ❤
