Tip to drain a device : Disconnect the battery hold the power button for 20 seconds. That empties any machine of power, old but golden trick.

I did a similar thing. The board is Arduino nano, Baofeng bf888 and ISD1820. From the Baofeng motherboard I extracted a signal to the Arduino for accurate RX detection. That part works great. I wrote the code and now I get feedback audio on the speaker connected to the ISD1820. I'm stuck on this part. Instead of the speaker, the message must go to the Baofeng microphone. I turned on the VOX function. It all works. But over the microphone, the quality of the message is very poor. A schematic of how to connect a speaker-microphone-ISD1820 would come in handy :)...Today I finally solved the problem with 2 ferrite rings. The repeater works quite ok and stable.

The video was a demo of the project but I was forced to move house a week or two later. I the the parts away as I didn't have space and time to pack everything. There's little to it. Incoming audio is fed to the a2d and output used to press ptt on the radio. Just a couple of voltage divider to manage audio level. Tone was generated after incoming audio dropped then the ptt dropped.

Hi, The build will be initially using a plate I already have, so around 200x300. The frame should support up to about 440x440x440 in all dimensions. I've been a bit lazy with video's but been keeping photo records as I build it along. I'll be uploading more again soon.

I've had this mouse for about a week now and while I've enjoyed its size & comfortability I've been frustrated by the default direction the scroll wheel takes. Is it possible to change this setting?

The mouse should scroll down when the top of the wheel is pulled towards you, that's the standard action in Windows. If you want it the other way around, there is a registry hack out there for this (Not tried it myself): www.windowscentral.com/how-reverse-scrolling-direction-windows-10

i have the 3TB model, and i am asking if you replaced the 1TB West. Dig. brand HDD in yours. windows 8.1 cant seem to complete the format. no, i didnt get this unit new, just a lucky find, but i think the hdd is dead. thanks and good video

I didn't replace the drive I just took the drive out for internal use on a pc. Is the drive making any bad sounds as it formats? Might be worth running dban on the drive to wipe the surface and test it all.

I am not worried about any previous data on the platters, just want a nice external HD! thanks I read about some available software packages that might help but there may be other ways to get it to complete. do you know what the Dynamic Disk option is when beginning the format process? as far as windows goes, it says the HDD is a GPT. thanks J

same guy here! no, the HDD doesn't make strange noises while win 8.1 is trying to format it. just motor spinning sounds. the Unit I have was thrown out, I believe by another co near where I work, so I am not worried about any data / files being saved! (I had to buy the special USB cable) so I grabbed it, and took it home. but it may have been dropped or mishandled. so the platters may be defective. I am considering taking the 3TB out and replace it with a 1 or 2TB (its what I can afford) and start out new. But I will get the dban utility to test the drive. I think the HDD inside is a WD brand. thanks again. I thought of opening up the case to look at the plates and R/W heads & arms, but I have several cats... there is a setting where the page size can be changed so that might help. I don't want to put another O/S on it, just regular files. thanks

This mouse sucks. I've been using it for about over a year now, and I have been experiencing constant connectivity issues. It worked in the beginning, of course, but connectivity declined over time and now it doesn't work anymore. I would much rather buy a logitech mouse.

Sorry to hear that. I have five of these in daily use at home and work. They're all getting pretty old now and work fine. One is getting a bad left click after a lot of use over the years.

why dint they add an ;lcd screen with spectrum basic built in. Maybe a review of the printer, ease of set up, quality of print, a joke or two. Anything - if I wanted to watch a Panasonic Lumix printer print I could go to Panasonic's website.

Oh dear, had to down vote the video. When I saw the bare copper traces of the one proto board nearly touching the other proto board I had to wince. A simple bump and you have a short. Bad form.

Wanted to up vote but the audio quality was poor and I have to believe you are using radios transmit on a licensed frequency but I did not get any call sign or repeater identification. It is a shame that someone would be showing the making of a repeater but fail to acknowledge the requirements of legal use of one.
