Very good interview! I still have my CD of "That Total Age" with the gear, and I listen to it as if it were the first time I bought it! Greetings from Argentina!

I loved and still love the old analogue synths, I had a Roland SH09 and a Korg Poly 800 back in the day. I have two Behringer Pro 1s, a Korg ARP Odyssey and a Roland Alpha Juno 2 these days ..as well as a few others and soft synths in Ableton ...love the huge power and variety of the sounds.

"After years of alcohol abuse, I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver," McCarthy said in a statement via Instagram last Friday, March 22nd.Mar 25, 2024 . Sending my preyers , best wishes , recovery and love .

Damn, that is so sad to hear. I wish him the best and hope he is out of pain. Unfortunately, I don't think you can reverse cirrhosis damage of the liver as I think that's stage 3 of the liver disease ladder.

What an awesome chat with a couple of great guys. Nitzer Ebb was such an influential band in my teens. Still love to listen to their music to this day. Much love and respect.

Hi Monique, last Thursday I went to the NE show in London. Although Doug was sorely missed and I wish him well and hopefully a recovery to better health, it was such a great show. Bon was absolutely perfect and also the new addition, Daniel Myer was superb. Definitely a show to remember as the Fabric. Best wishes, D

Sorry DM, your new music is boring, too political and not fun any more!! Your best albums where with Alan Wilder, bring him back and and call it the Alan Wilder Tour, this will be big and fun again!!

I remember seeing them a couple of times around the time of Join In The Chant. Murderous was the first single I'd bought. Honestly that pent up energy - you'd spend the time wondering when the world would explode around you. It was so powerful like nothing else. Fanastic to see them in '23/'24. I wish them well.

They wrecked the music scene. Saw them live the first time, when they were start up for Depeche Mode - Black Celebration Tour. I love Dpeche Mode (since 1983) but I think we were half a number or more into Depeche set before we woke up from the TOTAL chok of Nitzer Ebb. FAN since.... Sincere Regards to these "boys"...;-)

As a Black man, I saw it and actually enjoyed it MORE than the original! The original to me was very sad & depressing. The current version had more resourcefulness & more fight & more promise.

The pricing! In some theaters, at least near me, the price was $10 more than other shows at the same theater, at the same time. Also, competition. American Fiction and Origin was also playing at the same time. I chose American Fiction because it was the one that I could afford.

@MelaninMonarchy I have not. It's on my to-do list. Though I know how it ends, it's at the bottom of my list. I am addressing how I take in entertainment that deals with trauma. It's visceral in the movie & the musical, so I'm taking my time engaging with the movie at all. I wonder how many other ppl feel something similar.

@timothyrobinson3938 I think Oprah Winfrey did a very good job of distancing Alice Walker from the promotion of The Color Purple, which probably has to do with her Palestine views more than her sexuality &/or her personal life. I don't give enough credit to the younger generation being familiar w the book or the author of it, especially since it was very rarely mentioned in the promotion of it last year. It could contribute to why Black Women didn't show up and show out, but who could know for sure.

This was really interesting. Since he's the lead in a tribute act, I was expecting Freddie to focus on Dave and DM in more recent years, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear him speak so fondly about Alan, including the production work he put in and the lack of appreciation he received. Also, it's great that Freddie got to meet him. But, yeah, that interview he referred to was grim; as he said, it was like the final nail in the coffin, and you could see that even the interviewer was like 'shall I ask this?' before pointing to a colleague and saying, 'he made me ask!' It was especially unfortunate since it came right after an interview in which Dave mentioned texting Alan, so it was like, 'well, at least they're still in touch and hopefully on good terms.' But Dave's angry reaction in the subsequent interview shocked me: I know it must be an annoying topic, but I'd never seen him react in that way before. He'd always been complementary and gracious. 😔
