Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and share your gameplay experience of Cycles of Aylorea. While we truly value every perspective, we noticed some key points in your review that may have been influenced by a rushed playthrough, skipping tutorial elements, or an unfamiliarity with the systems at play. Allow us to address these points constructively: Tutorial and Gameplay Depth We understand that jumping into any game can feel overwhelming, especially without taking time to fully explore tutorial tips and mechanics. Our alpha is designed to encourage discovery and gradual mastery. While combat is undergoing an overhaul to make it even more engaging, it remains a skill-based system that rewards thoughtful play and mastery over simple "left-click spamming." Effort-Driven Progression The game prioritizes effort and meaningful progression. Upgrading gear and refining your playstyle improve efficiency in gathering, combat, and crafting. This approach fosters a more immersive and rewarding experience, differentiating Cycles of Aylorea from many MMORPGs that prioritize accessibility at the expense of depth. Effort should get rewarded, not logging in. Player-Built Cities and Alpha Map The absence of pre-built cities and the smaller alpha map are intentional. Cities in Cycles of Aylorea are player-driven-a key pillar of our vision for an immersive, player-influenced world. Similarly, the alpha map is a testbed for core systems and mechanics. Our final seamless map, over 400 square kilometers, will offer a vast, diverse, and fully realized experience. Constant Evolution As an alpha, the game is still evolving. Balancing, content expansion, and feature polish are ongoing, and feedback like yours plays a critical role in guiding these improvements. That said, many players who dive deeper into the systems and mechanics find themselves thoroughly engaged. It’s not a "theme park" MMORPG but a sandbox designed for those who enjoy crafting their journey. PvP Focus and Community With always-on PvP and a robust crafting system, the game intentionally challenges players in ways that may feel unfamiliar to those accustomed to more casual MMORPG experiences. This effort-based gameplay is a cornerstone of our philosophy, designed to foster meaningful competition without toxicity. Transparency and Support We are a passionate, transparent team committed to creating a standout MMORPG experience. Our Discord is open for questions, feedback, and support-your voice helps shape the future of Cycles of Aylorea. If you encountered issues or have suggestions for improvement, we encourage direct engagement with our community or team members. Finally, we kindly ask reviewers to fully engage with the materials provided in our keymailer campaign and take the time to immerse themselves in the gameplay before forming conclusions. Alpha is a phase of discovery and growth, and we invite you to explore the potential of Cycles of Aylorea as both a critic and a gamer. Thank you again for your time and perspective-it truly helps us improve and refine the game. Grats on earning that free key and I will talk to keymailer about finding you content more in your lane and with less attention required. There are games like the one you are looking for and it is okay if that is not CoA! Let us know if you would like to actually learn about the game, we are always available and always working on our product. If your plate’s empty, maybe it’s because you forgot it’s your job to serve the dinner. We’re just the chefs here, cooking up the best ingredients for you to plate and enjoy.

You forgot the classic line: "We strive to deliver the best experience possible for our players." 😂 My job? I'm not your employee. I'll let your essay speak for itself; no further comment on that. I will only say that I stand for the players and their hard-earned money. I will always honestly share with the players how I see things. I always clearly state that these are my own opinions, whether I like a game or not. People can think for themselves and have their opinions too. If they think my video is too shallow, they're free to think so, and there’s plenty more content about this game to help them decide.

Honestly I feel like he did this review drunk lol. The game seems in a rough state but the concept is ambitious and trying to make a Rust with MMO style leveling systems involved is really interesting. The crux of theproblem that V-Empire rightly points out is that when the hub of the game is PvP focused / MMO content it doesn't work in an empty world. A lot of what I am seeing here looks to have been done already in soul mask but I would be interested to hear how you see your USP differentiating from that IP. I know a lot of people are waiting for a good PvP focused MMO coming from games like Last oasis and others the audience is there if you give them the right tools to have a unique experience.

You keep mentioning that this is a community-driven game, but then you just... refuse to try out any community content? This sounds like a ragebait. This video lacks campaigns made by players: for example Formula 3 or mini golf. The former one features an entirely different driving model from what you've reviewed as well. Also in online servers there was hotlapping one where you could set a time, check out where you are on the website linked in the description of the server and then try again if it wasn't good enough. Where I agree with you, is that this game suits multiplayer seekers much more than singleplayer ones. However, it doesn't lack single player content as much as you make it look like.

If your comment contained a link, then yes, it gets auto-deleted for safety reasons. I never delete comments unless they are offensive (or bot/spam), and even then, I report such behavior rather than deleting it right away. As for you, (and I hope I'm wrong) this seems like an elaborate way to subtly direct people to your channel, which is about Turbo Sliders Unlimited. If you’d just said, "I’m making content about Turbo Sliders Unlimited, check out my channel!" I’d be okay with it in this case, because this game needs more people and more attention. Good luck with your channel!

Well, if you were more specific in your first comment, there would be no confusion. I really didn’t get any notification of the comment that allegedly got deleted, so I didn’t have a chance to read it. I did notice on SteamDB charts that almost every day for 1-2 hours, there are up to 20-30 players in the game, and this is when I went online and got the footage from the soccer game, which was super fun!

I've been trying this for a while and I'm finding it so hard. I get just over 3k people then they all get food shortages even tho there is food everywhere and my food storage is full. Then they all leave and it is down hill from there. If you ran into the same issues what did you do? And advice? Thank you and great video!
@VEmpire
@VEmpire 2 ай бұрын
It happens from time to time, almost regularly. The problem is usually that people are too slow to transport food from the markets to the houses, so having more markets closer to residential areas can help. One time, I even had a bug where people got stuck at the market, and I had to destroy and rebuild it. Good luck! You can do it! 😊

The game looks promising. I love 2D colony builders, such as Craft the world. I'm 420 hours into Oxygen Not Included. As for this one, the rogue-light elements stop me from playing. I think I will get tired of constant repetitive actions again and again. But it's fun to watch.

if you want to stream and post game videos, don't talk while the game characters are talking or in cutscenes. it is as bad as someone talking when you go to the movies. you got the whole rest of game play to talk what you thinking about what we just watched

Leaving some gaps in THE WALL to,… “encourage” the enemy to take certain routes even if you surrounded that opening with dozens of arrow slits would have the THE WALL even more ridiculously powerful.

Hi, this is the developer, thanks for checking out my game and for the feedback! Difficulty is pretty hard to get right, and I definitely understand your concern about it starting out to slow. I am working on ways to make the game more engaging with level variety and enemy spawn/movement behavior without making it more difficult as it seems that for every player that finds it too easy, there is another that finds it too hard or just right. However, if you are looking for more of a challenge, progressing through the Void Crystals adds more difficulty as well as new content such as new enemy types and attack patterns.
@VEmpire
@VEmpire 3 ай бұрын
Hey! You're making a cool game, and it’s awesome that you’re working on improvements. I think there’s no way to please everyone with one difficulty, which is why there’s usually a choice: easy, normal, hard, etc. I’m still playing the game, unlocking crystals, and I plan to make another video once I unlock everything (or at least as much as I can). It definitely gets more interesting with more crystals unlocked. Wishing you the best with the development!

This game does not lack unit, building or enemy variety but the combat could be better. minor things like enemies being knocked back even if just slightly or maybe creatures in a group having units disappear as the units health lower would be nice touches.
