why not use a hair dryer to dry your hair instead of air dry? Every video I have watched on this subject has said blow drying is important to get volume and activate the product

Bro look into hair systems, they are cool and you can easily get any style you want whether it's long or short. My hair is also just like you and I'm 25 and I'm saving for a hair system. Been balding since 21 and now my crown is visible. Since I will need to be on medication to keep my transplanted hair, I would prefer to get a hair system. I don't want to deal with sides of those medicines.

Would this be a good trimmer to maintain stubble? I like to keep 1-2mm stubble. And the zero blade would be great for cheek/neck lineups and sideburns.

You can go up to 3mm if you are looking to trim sensitive areas to keep yourself from getting nicked as well!
