Thank you for recognising the death of the club scene as a political agenda , I live in the Uk and i have been saying it for years ….. there is a war being waged on our youth .We thrive on movement especially when it pushes against the political establishment. It’s a mass neutering of our light and I hate it 😢

It's not true that people don't need paintings. Paintings are the soul of the artist, ripped out of his or her mind and made whole by the act of painting. I definitely "need" art, as in I cannot survive without beauty around me. Most people don't "need" paintings because they don't understand beauty, and where beauty transports one.

Agreed. Beauty is essential to life. I think what Mr. LaForge is referring to is the need to "own" a painting or any other work of art. I think he's just expressing how lucky he feels that his work is valued as a commodity in our society.
