See it’s so easy for someone outside of America to point out our problem with guns it’s insane all the other reactors like wow I’m uncomfortable with the imagery well shit Kim was so uncomfortable with the actual events that he was compelled to make a whole song and video about it. He’s making Americans look at the problems they help sustain.

After doing a bit of researching, I found an instagram post of Garrett Drake(the guy who written and directed this) saying that this is a music video project with inspirations of various fantasy books/games/movies like Magic the Gathering's Phyrexia lore, Soulsborne games, and The Northman. If they made a series about this I'd definetely watch it... And based on what I understood about the story of the music video is something like the elf lady was abandoning her daughter (the girl), trying to save her kingdom via a dark ritual which she would be the offering for a greater beyond, smh

The song is a highly personal account of being abused as a child. She (Kovacs) said working with Till was good - He was very sensitive and supportive. I think they did a fantastic job on this song. It gives me chills every time I hear it.

Not a pro when it comes to filming but I am a music video and a cinema nerd and whenever cuts and edits follow beats and rhythms of the songs, it kinda gets me into their groove. Like for example here, when the band bows down to the drums, the singer stomps to the breakdown or even the short rewind-shots of Poppy makes sense. Really a cool video with Blair Witch vibes!
