When you took the drill bits out the case what size are they? I dont have that tool to tell the size. For example were they 1/4 or 7/32 or 3/16

Your diff seal was fine after this? Did any oil leak out while you were replacing the axle?

Ha ha ha "The top ring just has to get compressed together" easier said than done while keeping the ends off the rings on eighter side of the tiny pin in the ring grove. I would have liked to see how you did that.

Unless a person is prepping for some HEAVY tow weight, would there be any other reason to replace the coil springs, the ones on these Gen 4 Rams are pretty heavy duty to start with. Shocks and bumpers I can see, but unless coils are broke /wore out . ? Comments?

We have the big cab and big box option and the springs are pretty soft even with just an atv in the box. These springs are a must for any wanna be big truck guy. 😅

I'm a poor man's mechanic. My "95 300" is virtually a clone to "this." Didn't need to remove foot rests. The "50" cent sized piece that the spring is attached, front, I took my disc grinder and cut a small piece of it away to access the bolt behind it with 1/4 drive socket. Didn't need to remove brake lever. After having the two main bolts for starter out, I had fits cause I thought the starter should move left/out much easier. After losing hours of sleep over this, I tapped it with a small hammer and it rolled over and out! HalleluYAH. That, as an ending to this vid would have been appreciated. BUT, no matter, I wouldn't have been able to tackle this without your help Brad. Thanks much!!

That's hilarious! I'm currently, right now, sitting inside and had the exact same idea! Glad it worked. My God this project started with a belt replacement. I went ahead and fixed the brakes and everything else I can touch. I have this thing in 100 pieces! Even worse my toilet inside the house about fell through the floor with my wife sitting on it! 😂😂😂! The only thing that kept her and it from falling all the way through was a joist and the pvc. They went down about a foot! No shit (pardon the pun). So I had to go into floor man/plumber mode. So obviously time has passed and I have to remember how to put the quad back together. Please wish me luck! Poor me.

Thing to keep in mind is the amount of current drawn by the EPS you better have a healthy battery and a good charging system output.

I wish I could get my EPS working. Fuse and relay are fine and there is power at the EPS unit, but it won't work. I've checked everything according to the service manual and everything checks, but nothing. If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it.

I have having same issue on my 2015 Polaris scrambler! Dealer is saying after flashing ECU the light stayed on and need a new EPS unit which I think is crap. I replaced the 30A Fuse, and mine has a EPS relay in fuse box but manual says its not in fuse box. Where is the location??
@razorsharpbt124
@razorsharpbt124 Ай бұрын
Mine was under the plastics on the left side of the headlight pod as you're sitting on the unit. Even removing the plastics, I still had to use long pliers to remove the relay. It's in a terrible location. My relay connections were clean and dry and the relay works, but I still have no EPS.

question for you, i have owned my 2003 since brand new and mine is having a slight stumble off idle and some slight erratic idling. I was pretty sure this was my issue but when i primed the system it looked perfect, not a drop came out. The bike has 8700 and was babied. The only thing i can think of is i had a battery die out just recently and being i put the battery in backwards....well i put it in forwards, it supposed to go in reverse and crossed the terminal. It did blow the 30amp fuse but now i'm wondering if that is an issue. Everything works fine, the bike runs excellent otherwise into the higher RPMs......just maybe a slight hiccup around 2500 rpm and intermittent weird idle. (not crazy but sometimes fluxuates around 1200-1500. Any thing to check?

Thanks for this, I got my 95' 300 explorer about half apart, just enough to expose the front portion of the starter and the starter isn't even engaged with the gears on the shaft. It also wiggles around, I'm no expert, but I'm guessing that means it's worn out. Anyways, now I have to take off the second half and get her out. There's quite a few steps, I'd have been shaking my head and probably throwing a wrench or 2 had I not seen this, so thanks again!
