It sounds a bit like what David Seville might do. The drum set would be possible to build today, exactly as it appears.

I was surprised to learn the voice of Jet Screamer was actually Howard Morris who was famous for the character Ernest T Bass on the Andy Griffith show.

I watched this on teevee when it came out! The Jetsons first episode was on my birthday, it was a big deal to a little kid. I remember this song, but oddly most of these clips seem unfamiliar! It's not quite what I remember, but I still like it. I have always said that George's job is mostly to be someone for Mr. Spacely to yell at! I don't remember so much "Honeymooners" aspect, guess I should watch it all again. It won't take long! It's only a few hours of video I think, I have a box set sitting around here somewhere. Maybe no way to watch it!

Written by William Hanna, Joseph Barbara, and Hoyt Curtin. They also co-wrote the themes to Hong Kong Phooey and Jonny Quest. Jet Screamer was voiced/sung by the one and only Howard Morris.

Oh I loved this episode, that was first Jetson episode I watched as a kid. It was a good one. Ever since I got exposed to Hanna Barbera, I’ve been a fan of it ever since. I even play to buy a couple more dvd sets of them, Yogi bear, Secret Squirrel, Huckleberry Hound and Top cat.

Cheers to Howard Morris, a huge voice talent for Hanna Barbera in the classic TV toon era of the '60s. He could do hillbillies, bon vivants, plumbers, a little girl, kooky professors ... anyone.
