While talking about woods in my hunter classes I bring a f-style mandolin and tell them. In best case a tree can grow set free on a north side for few hundred years in silence and a little part of it can become an instrument that might sing like those fine old instruments for 400 years. The best that can happen to a tree. I love this tradition and the violin as a lovely built sweet soundbox though I play fretted instruments.

A wonderful piece of work. Formal yet erotic with a hint of an updated Metropolis. Am I worn to think that some was filmed at the Tivoli looking back across it the Tower? The Bund and 30s Shanghai was a great complementary imagery.

Please read the Hare with the amber eyes and Letters to Comondo. The story is there , Edmund DeWaal is a wonderful writer . After meeting him at the launch of “Comondo” at Hatchards, I discovered he is a lovely person and guide and I then went to Paris with the a museum as a priority. He has some interviews on KZbin so have a look

Poor Camille Claudel😢 She needs her own space to exhibit her works. And the thumbnail of this video “Portrait of Rodin” is from her, you should have mentioned that……

The guy was playing a very talented politics game, but could not sculpt at all. He just ended up in the right time in the right place.
I would love to see the violin factory in Cremona. Also that museum. This is quite interesting.

Has taken me over a year to figure out. She made the fiberglass prefab bathrooms. I saw it in a book and then I could never find it again. Wish they had shown it in the video.
I visited as well and enjoyed the beauty within. This is a wonderful tour of this grand treasure box which Msr. Camondo created. However - you did not mention what happened to this mansion during the second world war - did the Nazi occupy it? If so, where and how were all the furnishings, objects and paintings protected?

YSL style is eternal indeed. What he created in the '60's is as modern, relevant and ageless as it is today. Only done better.

I believe Camondo was an early client of Durand Ruel and purchased several paintings from the school of 1830..

Balenciaga was indeed the master. Did he ever claim his inspiration came from these paintings as described here or was this just a hook for this exhibition?
@I6ixtien6 күн бұрын
Yes he did most of his inspiration was from a Spaniard artist

Absolutely gorgeous documentary, I am almost unable to comment. It is so beautiful. I’m home, so I strive to make beautiful clothes for myself whenever I go anywhere. These are so inspirational. What is not inspirational is what the house of Balenciaga has been doing lately. I’m sure it is now well-known. I did not see a lot of it. I have read about it. I realize we in fashion move forward and try to make things that are current. But there is nothing current about bad taste. And design features and themes that are so far from the beauty that Balenciaga tried to create. No, we cannot go back and re-create those things, but we can create Art that speaks to the SOUL,! For both the wearer and the observer❣️ please let us know forget why we create it is to uplift us, and take us away from the mundane that we must toil in at times in order to create to begin with 🌹
