This option where I live is over £400 for the part, I bought an after market complete shaft for £199, also my centre bearing was making a humming noise.

Victor Mendoza yes Definitely, before I could only go a 1/2 mile away now I've gone 1. 5 miles this is a directional antenna so it needs to be pointed in the direction of the Drone, I would try with the ARGtek first if you didn't point it at the drone, good luck 👍🏼

MrEbanks89 well I was able to get 2000ft with stock antenna I did a quick test with the argtek got to 1700ft but I’ll give it another try but if I only gain minor I might as well get itelite

Only thing that bugs me about this mod is the open slot left by the R/C antenna. For $100 you would have expected a small bit of plastic or a rubber cover to be included.

I work at a shop and just did it the long way with the OE replacement where the drive shaft needs to be removed and disassembled. even our shop would perfer using one of these methods as it can be done close to an hour vs 4.5 - 5. it is the rubber that wore out / seperated and the bearing itself was OK.

99Legacy2.0T yes the rubber was completely shot and the bearing was still good, I just repacked it with greese and it has been doing great so far . I can't remember exactly but I have about 120,000 on it now and i think it went bad around 100 to 105,000 ,still doing good
