@@LEXICON369 lol thanks, I love it. My off-grid camper model name is OP4 so it's name is "OP4 Kenobi"

Thanks for the video. This is the "easier" section that is showing on OnX. The south has a trail marked that looks impossible.

@@oliver5403 Oh wow, I wouldn't call it easy for sure but it wasn't necessarily super hard, my Jeep at the time was a mostly stock TJ. Like a 2" lift and 33's. Really just slow going, it would be very difficult to go in the opposite direction I went.

Piece of cake. I love how these come with actual rock sliders.

Hey JJ, what are rock sliders bro? I LOVE the look of the Colorado ZR2!..so awesome.
@jjfromtexas5863 ай бұрын
@@nigelados4796 if you look at where the running boards or side steps go this truck has what is called "rock sliders". They are much stronger and built to protect the rocker panels from coming down on rocks. I'm not sure how they bolt on on this truck but on my 4Runner they bolt directly to the frame.

ZR2-D2 is her name. I'm a Star Wars fan, so I added D2 at the end of ZR2. Im currently looking for the perfect R2-D2 sticker to put on it.

Lol thanks, that is the third time I've taken her out to West Texas offroading in less than a year since I owned her. She looks pretty sitting clean in the garage but that's not what it bought her for.

I can firmly say after tonight, this road is only meant for people who have lifted, off-roading vehicles and are looking for some extreme terrain to ride down. Took us 5 hours to go down in the pitch black after Google Maps said it would take only an hour. Go through Logan Canyon instead if you want to go up to Logan Peak and ride up/down from there unless you're feeling adventurous.

Haha everyone cries about this. They should probably put more warning signs up, I have stopped tons of noobs from heading down it. Saw a group of 50 year old guys go down it on enduro bikes, I told them they should probably go back down a different way. I was in an maverick x3 & it wasn’t too bad for me since I’ve done it a bunch. Those poor bikers took hours to get down it (I waited for them to get out safely, because their buddies wouldn’t be able to ride back up to them if something happened).

Luckily I first attempted to go up that road after visiting the waterfall at the quarry and was not wanting to try it alone. I then asked around about this road and was warned how bad it was. So we went to Mt. Logan peak from the other direction (the girl scout camp) and went down this way. I never tried going up it, I bet it was a lot of fun in the Maverick though. I can't imagine doing it on a bike.

@@SwineyB I tried going up it with a friend on some YZ-450’s, but said screw it after awhile. The top section is actually the worst, then it’s just endless chattery rocks lol. What other trails are just as bad? I recently moved down by American Fork and considering a Gladiator on 37’s; I saw Mineral Basin can be bad. Are there any that you straight up avoid?

I did this trail today, my butt was clenched tight going down FR022. A huge rock chewed out the driver side rocker panel on my XJ, not fun. Would not recommend.
@SwineyB4 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear about your XJ, that stinks. That was a fun trail, wish I could have done it again. I was clinched the whole time as well, I was told the trail wasn't bad at all when I went.

Cool video! 2 questions, was this the entire road after the turn off from Logan peak? And what kind of vehicle were you in?
@SwineyB4 жыл бұрын
Ya sorry about the late reply...it was started a little ways after the split off of the Logan Peak Rd once I started heading down the mountain. I was in my 2001 Wrangler Rubicon.
