It can be done much cleaner. There is a plastic oil release that is hooked into the metal bottom of the whole housing

Excellent video. This walked me right thru changing my spark plugs. I paid $62.00 for plugs. The dealer quoted me $751.00 to replace them. Saved a few dollars here. Thanks for posting it.

Do you know why the 2.0t oil changes are every 5k miles… I had a 1.5t as well and it was every 7.5k and now I have a 2.0 and it’s every 5k?

On what mileage you recommend the service/change for sparks? Is it every 30k miles or should be more often? I ask for 330i.

Real quick bruh, great job on the oil change, ur doing more than most people do to maintain there cars. HOWEVER! It’s always best to change the drain crush washer every oil change. Also, you see that metal plug In The center of the oil filter housing? That’s a drain for the filter so you don’t make a mess when the housing comes off like what happened. The new oil filter should come with a plastic drain spout to stick in there after the metal plug comes out. Just use a 3/8 ratchet to take it off. Aaaaaand the new filter comes with a new o ring gasket that goes on top of that metal plug. Keep up the lords work my friend.

Thanks man, I will definitely try that out. I didn’t have a replacement crush washer so I had to reuse this one or else I’d change it. Thanks for the tips brother

I noticed the oil you used does not have the BMW 0w-20 LL 17FE+ specification. Does it really matter if i just use any 0w-20, or 0w30 for that matter? Thanks.

Sometimes it can require a little bit of torque to remove as they can get pretty tight over time. Some dealership techs tend to tighten them a little too much as well. Try a longer ratchet to get a little more leverage, make sure you use the right oil filter adapter as you don’t want to strip/damage it trying to remove it
