an oldie but the guide still fundamentally works - as @travisjohnson7531 mentioned, you can only find the App Passwords via "Search Google Account" at the top and typing it in. Plus, don't be me and also tick the "Validate Server Certificate" after ticking "Always use secure connection TLS/SSL". This is for a HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series

Great tutorial! The only thing that has changed since this video was published is how to access App Passwords. The option no longer appears on the list as shown in the film, but you find it by selecting 'Search Google Account', then entering the search term App Passwords.

My options are (1): 2-Step verification (on) (2) Password (updated) (3) Skip password when possible (On) (4) 2-step verification phones (activated) (5) recovery email (activated) (6) Passkeys and Security Keys (7) Authenticator (8) Google prompt (9) Backup 2-step verification phone (10) Backup codes Have you seen this before? I'm struggling with how to get it to work. I used to be able to scan to email from my printer with this same gmail account for years, but it unfortunately stopped working a year or two ago : /

I know this is a little old, but I'm still having issues. I follow the video up until 2:15 when we test the connection without the password. Instead of getting the invalid username/password error, I get an error saying "SMTP email server error. The server might be down or busy. Try again later." Can you point me in the right direction to address this?

Ok so you're overdubbing on the original track and including John Ramsey's words it's a little confusing..... Some of the phrasing that John uses is different than what you're playing so I would suggest to any viewers to check out the actual track by the book so you can get the real feel
