@downwind_drifter1040 Yeah it was up to 15knts. Bumps were small but good to ride. The real problem we get down here is ribbon weed.

Yeah, absolutely, The 1121 for me is quite a big wing in terms of span and lift. I find it pairs well with a stiff mast (to help control it). Pumps great but doesn't turn well at all. For me, I use the 1051 wherever I can. If the conditions are very light, I will take the 1201 with no hesitation. In all honesty, I don't use it much anymore at all. When I was learning to DW I needed the intermediate step between the 1201 and the 1051 but now I don't find myself looking for it. This is for a rider of around 80kgs so if you are heavier (like 95+), the 1121 might feel like the 1051 is to me. In which case it will be incredible.

Hey mate, thanks for the comment. A lot has changed since then. But here are the specs - My weight is around 79kg - Board was a 7'10" x 19" DC Harpoon 114L - would have been an ultrashort with skinny 45 My current set up is quite a lot different. Hello, Sad to hear you broke your 830. I would recommend the 780 for you. I find the 840 good for my weight (80kg) in those conditions. I move to the 780 when it gets to about head high (2-3 foot swell). Any bigger than that and I run a ART799 or 699. You might enjoy 720 for bigger swell, but I'd still recommend the 780. 👍

Yeah man, if you want to take your turns to the next level the 840 is the go. But it sounds like the 900 is the wing for you. Pumps awesome and has wing-tip breach capabilities.

Yeah, the backwash at that spot is quite significant. Because the Spitfire wings are so neutral, they do a good job of cutting through all that. Making them really predictable.

Oh dude all great wings. Hard decision. You will definitely find the 900 has awesome pump in comparison. If you get the 840 you will have to work a bit harder, however, it makes up for it in shred ability. The 899 has a lot of drive when on a wave but you have to keep it moving when pumping. Takes about the same amount of energy as the 840 but you travel further for the given time spent pumping.

@@jamiewise7980 Yeew, thanks for the info! I got a spin on the 900 down the dock yesterday and it does indeed pump beautifully .. Hopefully try an 840 out in surf this week .. frothing!

I think it really depends on the wind swell you get. If it is small and doesn't get time to build the spitfires are amazing. If the swell has more time to build the ART wings still rock. I rode the ART1099 the other day in bigger conditions and I loved it. So for the smaller days where you need more low-end. The 1100 and the 1030 will be mint depending on your weight.
